Hi Gennee,

Yes! I made sure I placed U.S.A. Star Spangled Banner on two grave sites today.

1st grave of a fallen U.S. Marine in Vietnam, My friend in High School. 1-5-1950 - 4-19-1969.

2nd grave of a Veteran of the U.S. Civil War, My Wife's Great Great Grand Father. 1840- 1924.

We as Veterans know in our hearts the sacrifice put forth by those who entered military service, went and faced an unknown foe , gave their all so that others could cherish being free . Most of those who did so , have returned to us somewhat safe , but to those who paid the ULTIMATE price for our freedom with their life . There are those who would think it blasphemy to go to a deceased Veterans grave and say thank you for the price you have paid for the freedom we have and share , This makes my heart sad to know there are people who are actually that damm sorry not to acknowledge the many who paid the price, made the ULTIMATE sacrifice so all can be free. Those who do not share the feeling of pride for the fallen should not be able to share the creed of our flag. (THESE COLORS DON'T RUN .... THESE COLORS DON'T HIDE) . I apologize if I seem somewhat bent out of shape on this , but I for one hold the fallen very near to my heart and it just makes my blood boil to know that there are those who do not respect a Veteran at all. There are those that would just as soon as spit on a Veteran as look at one. This is a true shame. My respects go to our fallen. SharleahLynn
