Electro Timing.

Quick question for all you wonderful ladies out there. When is the best time to start electrolisys when doing laser? I know I will need electrolisys at some point, but I don't want to start to early and have to pay for them to zap hairs that laser would get anyway. On the other hand, I don't want to wait too long and have it hold me back in passing.

So when is the best time to start? Are there any indications to look for, such as it taking a certwin amount of time to grow back?

To be honest, I'd ask your laser tech. The thing of it is, if the laser gets all the dark hairs, the blond ones will probably not affect your ability to pass. I know that I have fewer blond hairs now then I did 6 months ago. I do think I am about done now with the laser (at least on my face...Bowers recommends it as an alternative to electro down below and I, for one, will take the three or four laser visits for that over hours of electro).

So basically, I'd talk to the professionals involved.

If you have any blonde or white hairs then start now. They can just go after these for now and leave the dark ones for laser. That is what I am doing right now.

Natasha you are so right about down below. There is no way I want electro done there.

I had my second treatment today and asked the girls at the front desk about electrolisys. They said to wait until I'm done with my treatments to start electrolisys. They think I'm doing really well with the laser and will only need a little touch up. I think I will go to a few more treatments and then set up an appointment for a consultation for electro and see what they think at that point.

Curious to know how many treatments it is going to take you, how many weeks apart the appointments, howany months til your finished.

How long does it take after treatment for your face's swelling to go down?

The plan they put me on was an 18 month plan. How far apart depends on what I need. Right now, I'm going every 4 weeks, but as the regrowth gets less and less, it will be farther apart between appointments.

My skin was a bit red for an hour, maybe two afterward, but nothing major. My face doesn't really swell after the laser treatments, so I guess I'm kinda lucky.

All in all, laser is something I can do on my lunch break and not have any issues going back to work afterward.
