Some anniversaies are the hardest days, for us, like the death of a close love one, or the date, which something bad happen to us. Know this, John, you are never truly alone, on this site. As the people, whom you have helped, are here for you, should you just ask us. Myself, included.

I am much better today.

My family ended up starting our Christmas decorating late this year and seeing the things of Mother's I grew up with come out here instead of where they will always really belong on the anniversary of her death and then on the anniversary of her funeral suddenly was overwhelming. It has been 10 years so this isn't a recent loss but sometimes something still makes it seem as if it just happened for a little while. I gave myself permission to grieve for a bit and now I am ready to move forward and find the magic the season used to hold for me.

This will be my granddaughter's first Christmas with both her father mother.Seeing her glow of joy brightens the days. As does the love and understanding I always find here.

I treasure each of you.
