Ray - Did You Get Your Mango Yet?

I'm curious.

I've been using mine 24/7 for >1 month now and love it. Finally got it down to no leaks in >1 week. Phew. But I'm not sure if it's me or what but it seems like the latex tubing inside is swelling? The paper that came with it said it could, but it seems like now the tubing is almost a 1/2 inch diameter, which seems HUGE. Also, the shaft doesn't want to stay bent over.

If you just got yours (or when you get it) can you just measure the width of the tube where it enters the shaft? I was going to get a replacement tube but their site says no new orders for a month.

Let me know.

Or anyone else with a Mango - have you had this issue?

Hey Jay.

Glad things are going well for you in the restroom department. :)

I havent gotten my stp yet, and i actually ordered a S.T.U.D. from thetransitionalmale.com. It should be in the mail today actually and I can hardly wait! Everything Ive read talks about the tubing swelling and that the shaft may start to be semi-construct. From what Ive read this can be handled by 1- wearing briefs or 2 - using what some call a c0ck strap. if you can sew maybe you can just add a tiny strap so itll hold the shaft down .

Good luck man.

Yeah, I have been using mango's products for almost a year now. The tube does swell up a lot bigger than it comes. It will get longer as well, and this is usually when you have to get out the scissors and make some adjustments so that the latex tubing doesn't poke out of the end. I wouldn't recommend wearing the STP with any underwear except for briefs, the tube means that if you wear it downwards, as you would in boxers etc.. then you will look semi-construct. I always wear it tuck upwards in briefs. I really think this is the only way to do it.

Yeah, I wear it up, not down. I found that the testicles, being so light, just let the whole thing turn upside down in my briefs if I try to aim down. I must be anatomically correct or it bugs me, LOL. I found a site online that sells tubing and ordered probably what was the original size, 5' of it, so I can swap it out, but I'm going to try some other types of urinary tubing when I get my Lola-Jake. There has to be something that won't swell but won't give me a permanent hard-on.

How long have you been using your Mango? I finally have it down, but now want to get a bit quicker to place the receptacle so I'm not conspicuous at the urinal. My urinal debut will likely be in July, unless I get brave before then.

I've been using it since August last year. It took me about a month of practise before I had the confidence to use it in public, and then about another month on top of that before I was confident enough to use it at the urinal. I go everywhere now. If we all go out drinking I'll even go against a tree with my biomale friends. It's great being a man!

My parents didn't show me my birth certificate until I started going to school, in the meantime until that happened,   I was mostly seen wearing boys' clothes, but my mannerisms mostly female without the use of hormones. My parents thought I was going through as phase, until one day things took a physical turn in my puberty years, which resulted in a family car ride to the hospital emergency. I had my share examinations, treating doctors could not come up a diagnosis what was happening to me. I would soon discover I was born with a hidden variation or undescended, which could had been ovaries inside. Things got to the point which resulted in surgery, I didn't know about. I asked for my surgical medical records, but access denied. So, I live with a surgical scar, and take medication.

It's something John Green said somewhat recently referring to the Emily Dickenson poem "Hope Is the Thing With Feathers." The poems first stanza reads   “Hope is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all -"   It's a beautiful and helpful poem, but what was life changing for me was what John Green said in relation to the poem. "Emily Dickenson doesn't say that one never stops hearing the song of hope, only that it doesn't stop playing... The song of hope is still singing. And I know you can't hear it, but one day soon you will."

I don't even need half a hand to count mine.  A combination of Protestant prudery, total lack of sex education, and my being the wrong gender.  And, it turns out, asexual, though that may be a product of the other factors.

That's a great suggestion. One thing I did was start a Pinterest board.  If I see something I like, I pin it without overthinking it too much.  Eventually a pattern emerges of the kind of clothes that appeal to me.  I'm very concerned about being age and venue-appropriate so I concentrate on more "everyday" outfits rather than the sexy stuff.  Not that the sexy stuff isn't fun though.....

Thank you, @Vidanjali! I'm in the process of applying to universities to transfer to (I got to a local community college currently), and I've got my eye on a specific one but I'm apply to 2-3 more just in case.  I'm also trying to apply for a job!  Another minor update is that I'm able to purchase trans tape now! I got it in blue because I like colors and pink was sold out, but hopefully the adhesive reacts well to my skin and I can use it to bind. This is another weapon I may have in the ongoing battle with dysphoria, but I think if it works, it'll work really well!  Fingers crossed, and y'all have a good day!

I can relate to looking in the mirror at a young age in life, whenever I explained to my parents, it resulted in a car ride to the hospital emergency room.

Hi all, a bit more about the story - I just realised the first message didn't tell you much! It's called 'Going Out', set in the UK, and it's by me, Nicola Atherton, if you search Amazon. Have a little read of the first two chapters which are there for free in the 'Look Inside' bit. It's a lovely long read, a gradual, detailed, emotional story which I’m sure some will find at times painfully raw, while at other times unbearably exciting. I wrote it for us lot :) It starts off as a gradual, realistic intro into Amy’s solitary world, before she accepts what she’s always known to be true. She makes friends with girls and meets men, and her story plays out in a way that others have said they enjoyed very much. I think you'll all love it :) PAPERACK copy.pdf
