Hi to the forum,

I'm generally known as Angel on the web so i'll stick with that (it's my pen name) and it's a pleasure to meet y'all.

I tripped across the forum about an month back while mooching around the web and have been lurking for a while since then.

I'm from Bristol, UK, mid 30's and transitioned to glorious womanhood about six years ago and never really looked back since.

I'm not really sure what i want to get out of posting here but i suppose i'm looking for a kind place to compose my thoughts regarding gender issues when i feel the need, which isn't all that often but it's nice to find somewhere where people have a shared experience :)

More info about me: I'm very happily married to my awesome wifey and whilst we're dealing with the joys of a teenage son my life is pretty stable and happy.

I've lived a pretty industrial life so far i suppose. I've been an engineer, an architect, a door supervisor, a mushroom picker, an IT tech, a CAD designer, a martial arts instructor, an alcoholic and a few other things. These days i'm a professional writer, artist and illustrator and own a small printing and publishing co. and spend most of my days trying to finish my novels, designing book covers, drawing comics and repairing printers - could be worse :)

Other than my job, i love to travel (i've seen a lot of the world but there's so much more to explore), enjoy the company of friends, ride big motorbikes, fiddle around with interesting tech, read lots of manga and whine about the sate of the economy.

ummm.. i think that's about all that's pertinent, thanks for having me here.

Welcome to the Playground, Angel! I'm glad you decided to come in an enjoy our hospitality.

Mushroom picker, eh? I think you're the first one I've met. You'll have to tell us about that some time. :)

I'm happy that you seem contented in your work and have a good home life. I look forward to seeing more of your posts. We don't have

a lot of post-ops that post regularly, and I'm sure your experiences will be of value.

Wow, Thank you very much everyone for the warm welcome :D I really appreciate it

I've read the T&C and promise to keep things clean. Also, cookies sound awesome!

As for the mushroom picking, i don't recommend it. One of the worst jobs i ever did  Everything stank of 'shroom disinfectant (it realllly stinks) and all the other staff were short middle aged ladies who though very nice, came out with stuff that would make sailors blush and as a 6 footer all the stooping over nearly broke me.. (i have to admit i didn't stick at it too long)

Anyway, thanks for having me and i look forward to participating and if you want to know anything else just ask, i'm always very open and honest (to a fault).

Angel.

For me, definitely the size thing.  I'm 5'4" on a good day, and 100lbs.  I can pass as a teenage boy, but never for my real mid-30s age.  And since my husband looks older than his age, I'm often assumed to be his kid.  Or folks think there's something illegal going on.      Also, my lack of the typical aggressive "masculine" demeanor.  I don't really desire the typical masculine social role, nor could I do it even if I tried really hard.  I'm usually quiet and kind of timid.

I am sorry for your struggles. I cannot empathize, but I can surely sympathize. I wish only the best for you!

No, they are the only provider of services I need an my area. 😑

My size. A lot of guys aren't 5'3" at seventeen. My hands. It's a less noticeable one, but my hands are very "feminine"? If you know what I mean. My voice. Very high-pitched. I don't just sound like a female, I sound like a little girl sometimes My chest. I've had to stop binding due to frequent aches doing so, and it's not nearly small enough to just cover with baggy clothes My family. They still call me she/her, so that's an automatic out. My anxiety. I might be able to pass better if I had the courage to correct people. Instead, I'm too scared to speak up, so I find it hard. My lack of men's clothes.   Anyone else have these problems, or other ones?

From what I have read and heard most people are so.busy with their everyday lives and either looking at their phones or in a hurry to notice you out and about.
    • RaineOnYourParade
This exactly ^^^   I actually really liked games where I was required to play a male character. It felt homey, in a way.

Anyone play war and order on their phones?

I can relate.  I have always played a female character when given the opportunity. Not really and reason except I just alway pick them since I was young

Yes, our little town is having its 3rd annual Pridefest. I've volunteered the first two years  from setup to tear down (though I do take an hour off to eat and drink in the middle).     Then I attend a bigger one a couple towns over that has had some decent entertainment from some semi-famous folks (Laura Benanti, Patrick Wilson, Carmen Carrera, Judy Gold, etc).    This year I made sure to ask off of (weekend) shifts to attend a 3rd one where a group I'm in is in the parade.

Hi Vicky, I agree with you, so far since the time I've been under the new treating doctor's care, she prescribed me medication, but it's for children lol  luckily  my pharmacy warned me from a phone call not to take the medication.

Welcome to the party, M.A.     Sounds chaotic haha, I can confidently say that living with only two children the same age is stressful enough, much less three!
