Sleeve Lengths?

One of the things I've always loved about women(young girls/ladies mainly) was that many of the items they wore appeared to have sleeves that were too long. But it appears that the clothing I buy has sleeves that are about 2 to 3 inches short on me (I'd guess I have about a 34/35 inch sleeve in male clothing). Anyway, being a plus size as well, does anyone know of a place that sells Tall Plus size stuff?

Another peeve I have is who thought that most womens clothing should have 3/4 sleeves and pant legs??? I hate seeing something I love then finding out it been butchered. :banghead:

Can I relate. I go to thrift stores all over the area and rarely do I find jeans that fit my 6'1" height. 90+% of them are too short. I don't wear long sleeves here in the desert.

Lane Bryant sales plus size but they don't think someone can be big AND tall.

I like the 3/4 sleeves when they are meant to be 3/4 sleeves. Otherwise, I have been really bummed at sleeve lengths in general. I have even tried buying stuff from Old Navy's Tall collection and had this problem. One thing I do is make sure not to put my tops in the dryer. This has helped a little bit.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with a problem... that doesn't sound right, Sorry to hear that I'm not the only one with a problem... that's better. I don't know what it is with the fashion industry. Seems they all think that the larger your waist gets, the shorter your legs and arms get.

I grew up in Phoenix and graduated High School in Page Arizona and I almost always wore long sleeve shirts. I didn't like getting burned (tanned to most folks). I would love to get back there. Haven't been since 82.

Oh well, back on topic, I guess I'll just continue to buy cotton shirts and keep pulling the sleeves down.

Ever try walking around with your arms tucked up inside your sleeves? It doesn't work - don't bother. A lot of girls learn to sew - it's another way to get the right fit. Sleeveless dresses are really the best answer I have.

The other day, right of the thrift store shelf, I found a dress that I loved and the sleeves are exactly the right length for me! I bet the poor girl who bought it originally was really miffed at the sleeves being too long!

I'd agree with Kathleen, sleeveless or like a capped shoulder top/dress is the way I usually go, don't have to even think about the sleeve length... Recently bought a few short sleeve tunic tops which I'm loving!
