The 4th Of July With My Mother At My House

My family, (mother and niece, sister-in-law---best friend, and her child,) came over to my house for the Forth of July, I had put my radio on the roof of my house so every one could hear the music play along with the show. I have been doing little stuff when I go over to my parents house to get them more used to the fact this is not a game, or a joke, but tonite they came out to my house, and I refused to change the way I have been living my life in my own house for my mother. (Parents are not accapting, my best friend is my biggest supporter.) But anyway, my mother saw me for the first time in full girl mode. I could tell that she did not like it. I had on a pair of shorts, only because I was going to be sitting on the ground and it will be hard to cover up, and a red tight shirt that I bought for this holiday. It says LET FREEDOM RING. RING being in Stars kinda colored in the flag. She did not like it at all.

I am hoping that this is a turning point for my mother, Maybe she will see that I am not playing about this, this is not a game.

I do understand that all of her life, she was raising a boy, She has known me all of my life as a boy, But I hae never been a boy I have always been a girl but no one have known. So I can understand the fact that she is reluctant to accapt me as Amanda. I do hope that one day she will. I will still try to work with there on that. But she did stay for the whole thing and did not say anything yet about it I will talk to my best friend when I get home from my run to Wyoming, tomarrow nite.

Well done! :) You're absolutely right - you shouldn't have to change the way you live for anyone. Hopefully your mum will accept it in time.

By the way, I think your "let freedom ring" top was very appropriate! hehe

She should be thankful, not angry. There's a number of more raucous shirts you could have worn. Mom's are just weird like that. My mom is selfish and she thinks I'm doing this 'to shock her'. It's not about her, it's about me. Maybe your mom thinks the same.
