Hi Everyone.

Sorry if this is too personal a question to post and it offends anyone. Mods please feel free to reword if it's not appropriatly worded

I'm a concerned and a little worried !

I have a question pertaining to testicular pain. I'm only on day 6 of my HRT ,only taking spiro and estrodoil (Starting dosage) .

Yesterday on day 5 , I started to feel some discomfort and pain and it was only in one . Today it's in both. It's tollerable , but it's constant.

Is this a normal part of HRT and the meds doing thier job ? or should I be very worried right now and calling the Doctor ?

Did anyone else experience this also ?

Thanks

Jinny

I could be wrong, but I don't think that's a usual side-effect of HRT... you should probably go and see a doctor about that ASAP. I don't mean to panic you, but I think it's probably best to find out what's going on there. Hope you get on OK :)

.

Jinny.......

I've been a Mod here for more than two years and I really haven't heard of this being a side effect of HRT......

Call you doctor....ok?

Same advice from me, Jinny. That isn't a usual side effect. Please get it checked out.

I've had that pain off and on for the past 6 months. It's a dull pain nothing amazingly sharp. I think extreme expansion or contraction of body parts will do that and our bodies all react differently and at different speeds.

But as always, if you have concerns it's best to just call your doctor. They'll know your unique chemistry and pre-HRT blood levels, etc.

Thank You ,, it's tollerable , but there.. my wife said maybe I pulled it, I did lift a vehicle floor jack in and out of my truck yesterday. I've lifted that many other times before and no problems . if it's any worse tommorow , I'll call and see if I can be fit in for an appointment. I'm urunating fine and regularly .

I did also start taking a Suppliment yesterday also, Clinicure Botanical Thinning Hair Solutions , energizing nutri-complex , to try to help with my thinning hair. I got it from a health food store. I'll look that up and see if theres any warnings on it , I should have actually done that befoe I bought it.

I'm not taking suppliment tommorrow , see if that helps also.

Thank You.

I had that happen to me - it passed in a couple of days. I was cranky as hell becuase my boobs were hurting too. I don't know if it is typical, but for me it was very temporary.

Thanks Everyone.

I was worried about it , it was a dull lingering pain. I woke up this morning and it was still there but alot less... Now early in the afternoon , it's even less.

I've been drinking a gallon of water a day,, I've been urinating alot , since I started to take the spiro.

I did not take the supplament for thining hair today , to see if that might have been it.

My wife said it maybe the Estradoil and spiro , working on riding my body of T and working on shrinking the Testies.

It seems to be getting better , as long as it does and doesn't go back you yesterday . I wont call the Doctor , if it does start to go the other way again , I will call right away.

Hello Again, I just wanted to let everyone know I decided to be on the safe side and help put my mind at ease. I called the Doctor who prescribed my HRT meds, The receptionist tranfered me to her voice mail , told me to leave her a message that she checks them when she gets a chance during the day , if not it'll be at the end of the day or tommorow sometime she'll call me back .

I left a detailed message of whats been going on and I'm waiting for her call, better to be safe than Sorry.

Hello Again ,

Today I spoke with the Doctor , she said , that my dull pain and discomfort , Which was alot better today , is not a side effect from the HRT meds.. She said it most likely a pull from lifting that vehicle floor jack with the wrong body posture. She said if it continueing still on Friday morning, I have to go in for lab and Urine tests .

Tonight , I sit here with no discomfort or pain... I hope it stays that way tommorow when I wake up .

Thanks everyone for your input and concern.

Hmmm, I get this pain every once and a while. It's like the hiccups. I notice when it starts but can't really say how long it lasts or when it stops. A few minutes?

I never questioned it before; it just makes sense to me. They're obviously going through changes. Maybe I should mention it to my doctor...

The pain is completely gone now... I'll talk more about it with my Doctor at my next visit in April.

At 1st I wondered the same Jo-I-Dunno , figured it was just the HRT meds doing thier job and doing some shrinking , just didn't expect it so soon.. but I talked to my Doctor and she said that kind of pain in that area , wasn't a side effect of HRT, sounded more like a pull or strain.

I figure theres going to be growing or should I say re-adjustment pains through out my body's transformation from the HRT. I figured it was just one of them.

Thankfully no more pain and I'm feeling back to normal again ...

I had my surgery 11 years ago, and yes, I too find it much more of an urgent thing than it ever was before.  One possible culprit is going to be T blockers if you are still on them, also the urethral sphincter which holds the pee back is closer to the urethral opening now and more subject to stimulation. When we gotta go we gotta goooooo!!

I notice that the Wikipedia article does not mention the U.S.A. which I can understand a bit.  The entire month of June here is Pride Month for all the organizations and is tied to the 1969 Stonewall Inn riots in New York and also our medical authorities are also not tied as thoroughly to the WHO as they are to the American Psychological and American Psychiatric Associations which write the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health which is generally in line with the WHO which does not play as big a part in our medical practices here.  The WHO does not impact us the way it does the other world countries which is why we are in the dark about the day.  Ironically though, one of the U.S. States is named Idaho which sadly is one of the most conservative and frustrating to the U.S. LGBTQ Community.   The day is international though in the sense of other European and Southern Hemisphere countries it seems.

Hmm. Must have been that pesky 'International' word which made me assume that it was well known! I only became aware of it myself last year.   Brief history: May 17th is the day IDAHOBIT is acknowledged as it is the anniversary of when in 1990 the World Health Organization declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder. It was conceived in 2004 and first celebrated in 2005. It has gone on to include trans folk in 2009 and bi folk in 2015.   International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia - Wikipedia

A year and a half post op. I've noticed that once the urge to pee hits, I can only hold it for about 15 minutes or so until it gets to the point where I feel like I'm going to piss myself. I used to be able to hold it a lot longer (as I  remember it).  I know my urethra is a bit shorter now, but I don't think it is enough to account for this. Am I imagining it?

What a great moment @Vidanjali! It's always so cool knowing people are reading you in a way you want to be seen.

It's also networking.  Sometimes jobs come along because someone knows someone else - these older people might know someone.  "Hey, Ashley," someone might say,"My nephew is looking for love. He likes tall women. Whatcha think? Can he call you?"   Don't discount their ability to match make.  It is about networking.

He is simply doing to get more votes. He held a Trump for trans during his first run and found out the majority of his voters were against us so he simply followed the crowd.

The sad part is I'm the third oldest member. One is in their 60's and the other is past 70's. I'm even older than the president lol. It's a younger crowd that's for sure. I like to come here to feel young again lol.

Ashley, I think searching for relationships are a lot like searching for jobs, they tend to come along when you aren't actually looking.  Perhaps you could step back from actively searching, at least for a little while, and instead, concentrate on just being out and about as yourself.  Like Mae and Abby have already mentioned, just keep up your volunteering, but don't focus on a need to find someone.  Maybe, just maybe, changing your tactics will result in someone finding you.    I do wish only the best for you, and I hope someone comes along who connects with you.

First off, you can't regret being honest. You may not be changing the relationship, but it sounds like it still exists!   As for meeting people, what about through the volunteering you're doing? Maybe you can do more of that and meet people. Let some relationships grow and if they blossom into something more than friendship, great! If not, you've got more friends!

Hi Giz, welcome. There's so many different ways to be trans and you're so welcome here. I wish you luck in achieving your goal of being more androgynous. There's forums in here that might suit you and your goals. I look forward to hearing more from you. I go by he/they pronouns at the mo.
