Got My Letter

it took a few weeks because the first letter my therapist mailed got lost and never arrived. after 2 weeks i recontacted her and she sent another. it got to me in 4 days lol.

i looked through it and there were definitely some careful word choices made. like, i contacted her in early december but in her letter she used the phrase "several months". and she said i've been "living as a guy 100% full time"...is there really a fine line between living full time and being out to everyone? because i know some people dont come out until they start hormones but does that mean you can "live full time" without being out? cause as of right now the only people that don't know are professors and stranger girls on campus but that doesn't mean im not living as a guy right?? *confused*

...but considering i can't really start for a couple of months until i work out my family stuff by the time i get the letter to an endo it'll be more or less accurate.

so...yeah, got my letter! again, i'm gonna wait til i can make some sort of plan but with any luck i'll start by the beginning of fall semester (which is mid august for those of you not in schooling)!

Madison,

Congratulations to you! You are on your way now.

I wouldn't read too much into the "careful wording" of the HRT letter. Yours sounds terribly similar to mine with some minor change as I am going the other way. I really think the HRT letters from GTs are written to a cook-book type of format that meets some professional guidelines or something. The important thing is that the letter is solid validation that the therapist thinks you are ready for HRT.

CONGRATULATIONS, MADISON!

That's awesome news, young man. Yeah, don't sweat over the wording. The main thing is it says you're good to go for hormones. That's all that matters.

All aboard the "Manhood Express!!" :goodjob:
