Been Wondering

I defiantely know I am TG (used as an umbrella term) and Ive gotten to a point where I accept my gender issues and have confidence in myself no matter how I express myself, but I am still kind of confused as to wut other category I can fit under. It just sort of helps me piece together my own personal identity better.

I am a 19 yr old male who prefers an androgynous body because it allows me to look like a girl or a boy whenever I want. I used to be strictly masculine and then I decided to slowly try more feminine things and now I have total confidence presenting myself as a female as well as a male. Ive heard that this would classify me as bi-gender, but I am not totally sure wut I am. I used to want to be a girl fulltime, now I dont. odd ey? lol I feel to be a boy for certain reasons, like for legal reasons and stuff... but gender wise, I feel to be a boy and a girl in style and personality. I usually try not to tie in physical sex with the idea of gender, but I guess I am a male who likes to express myself as both a girl and a boy.

Today I woke up and decided to not shave and be lazy and just dress like a boy and jsut acted boyish and stuff lol. yesterday I got up early and spent time on making myself look more like a girl and totally went into girly girl mode. It seems when I choose to dress like a girl, its usually for special occasions where I want to look nice or when I go to the mall... but I just dress like a boy around the house mostly and around family. so I just switch on and off and ive done it so long now that it doesnt even feel like i'm switching genders anymore. it feels mroe like i',m just switching my style for the different days.

I am nto really embarassed of it and so far people at school dont seem to care that I do this... but I would like a good categorization for who I am so I can help explain this to others better and so I can have a better idea of who I am.

also, maybe I am a transgenderist? I take hormones but I dotn have plans of living as a girl fulltime (atleast not right now) . I like being a boy lol... but I also like looking like a girl when I want to. so the hormones help with the androgynous looks.

as a boy I am quite feminine in body and I have to ruffle my hair and wear baggy clothes and talk like a boy to come across as one, that seems to be the normal me that peopel are used to,,, but now I dress like a girl so often and strive to come across as one that it is confusing my family and they dont even know how to classify me in terms of gender and stuff. to make thgins easy I just let them call me Matt and refer to me as he... but thigns get wierd if they di that when we go out and I'm in a dress or sumthing lol

I am pretty well at peace with myself with all this for now, just I am curious as to how others might classify me

heres a coupla pics to show my styles

Wow, yeah you really pass well as both genders. I'm impressed. I wouldn't worry about catagories, although I do understand that explaining your behaviour to people who don't understand is difficult when you can't catagorise it. I think I would just class you as gender queer, or bi-gender like you said. x

Welcome to the board! You really pull off both looks well :) If you really want a category, I agree that either bi-gendered or genderqueer is probably going to fit the best.

Welcome to the forums and first off wow, you make a pretty girl and a good looking man.

Like you I feel both male and female (I am physically female) but unlike you I cannot pass as both <_< Anyways you certainly sound be-gendered to me slthough this might change in the future. Try not to think too much into it really. You look great as both male and female. :P

You really do pass as both. I wouldn't worry too much about labels just be yourself that's all that counts.

Sounds to me like your bi-gender, gender queer.

Jose Antonio.. :)

It has been 5 months into my transition.Going well in my progress and should of done this when I was 24 years old.Started living and dressing as female. My estrogen levels look great so far.I have a great support system as well from family members,my son and good friends. My son has said I have become a much happier person.Friends,do say that I have my life back which is true.I also have a great boyfriend for support and he has been learning very well about my transition.Plus he is the first guy that has loved and accepted me for I am.Also did his  research first before we started dating. In September,I have my FFS and he will be there for support

Very pretty y'all. 4" heels is the max I can handle and not for long period of time. I don't see how women wear 5" and above. I love my feet. I sure don't want to punish them.

Well just been doing a lot of self reflection and a lot of gender dysphoria that has caused me to break down. The realization has been that I'm a trial period for men and women don't even consider me. It's getting dim. I have put myself out there by force even when I didn't want to. I have one friend but still haven't seen her IRL yet. We talk on Sundays and it's always me that starts it. Another person only talks to me when they want something. It's never been hey how are you doing. It's almost a month to my birthday and it's all just my mom, sister, nephew that are coming. So much for a 40th birthday party. I hate these posts. I want to be optimistic, positive and cheerful but I haven't seen anything go my way. I'm making it by the skin of my teeth. I wished I could just go into a coma for a year or just not wake up.

Sorry I have been absent a lot but I do read your posts though.

@Michelle_S lol it took a year to get that many. It's nice to have a large number but having the thoughts of helping someone far outweigh the number of posts. I have been absent a lot lately. Back at it tomorrow though lol.

I understand. I have the opposite problem. I'm really tall, my feet are size 13, I don't have any curves mostly but I do have breasts so at least I got that but I get stared at. I have tried dating to men I'm just a trial period and none of the women want to date me as a trans woman so I'm just stuck being single. I do have one friend and that's it. I'm right there with you about not being able to work. I haven't been able to come up with the money for any surgeries. I have a wealthy dream and disability IRL. If you want I can chat with you.

Not sure I could handle 4" heels.  I do have some 2" ankle boots though.

When I got on HRT people remarked on how happy I was.  I had insisted that I was happy before, but now I realized I only thought so.

My new 4" heels I picked up today! 😘

One of the nicest confirmations for me was when the 'new me' felt absolutely normal. I had, like almost everyone, felt very excited with each new development. But 6 years in, it's wonderful just experiencing things, like HRT, as daily rituals that are simply part of my life.   I also am privileged to have experienced a feminine perspective these last six years. It confirms how unhappy I was earlier, and things like masculine privilege and mansplaining are so apparent to me now.    Kind regards,   Astrid
