The entire reason I feel the need to write this is I am anally retentive and obsessive.....

In truth, for my own personal sense of peace, I don't care what my group name is. HOWEVER, because I know that it does play some role in how people relate to or understand you, I need to be sure as to whether or not I "ticked the right box" here. Initially I ticked transgendered because of my prior understandings (it seems a couple of places define it differently) of the definition. Having read the info from Laura that explains a transgenderist has sexual pleasure from the birth genitalia and the importance of that genitalia to the individual I have since changed that answer lol.

My natural reflex then was to tick "male" but since I recently am finding umpteen blocks to HRT or SRS (and a few of them are medical) while simultaneously really not wanting to let go of my "license" to go in the lesbian line (sue me, I like lesbian women) and frankly I don't want to play wiith the other straight boys- change that, the bio at birth straight boys (they don't usually rate high on my opinion polls), I didn't.

And yet.....

I have this pang......not as severe as if you called me ma'am or something...but a pang that I don't see that word there. As if someone has hurt my feelings even though I know that someone would have to be me.

Gah, I'm rambling....

Welcome to the board :) I hope you like it here.

There is a difference between being trangendered and being a transgenderist. The former is an umbrella term for all the people whose gender transcends their birth sex. From what little I know of you, "trangendered," "transsexual," "ftm," and "male" all seem appropriate. To be honest, I don't really care what box you tick off either.

Thank you, I hope I like it too. There's a lot of "trans" sites and whatall out there but none other I've seen is a suicide prevention site without the picking up and admiring happening. I really thought that was excellent.
