I was always one of the guys honestly I cant remember ever think i was a real girl. I never liked playing with barbies or playing jump rope, no I was playing with my cousins hot wheels or wrestling on the trampoline. I was only around girls when I was showing off to get their attention. I remember when I was 10 I went to my dads for the summer. I asked my stepbrother to teach me how to be a guy. :) It was my first introduction to packing. I would have passed if not for my ponytail.

When I started middle school I was labeled a lesbian. I didn't see any harm in it, i mean i did like girls but most of the girls i had crushes on were straight. Which made me want to be a guy even more then I already did.

When i got into highschool i ditched the ponytail and chopped off my hair. A lot of people flipped, including my stepdad. He was probably the most homophobic person i'd ever met. He didn't like me nor did i he. So home was pleasant enough. :/

I met my highschool sweetheart in. my last year of middle school. She was scared of me, no joke. She only came near me when she absolutely had to, because of people telling her I liked girls. Another reason I felt the need to be a guy. (When you live in a town of about 1200 people smallmindness is common.) Anywho I guess she warmed up to me because about a year later she became my first real girlfriend.

My first year of highschool i became very butch. The guys I hung out with called me an honorary dude. Which didn't bother me at all in fact I liked it. I was a step closer to who I felt like on the inside.

Whenever Brittnee and I went out nobody could tell I wasn't a guy. I felt my heart leap when people called me sir or mister. It was always great until I went to the bathroom or if I was out with my mom and she corrected them that I was a she. Ever time that occured I would feel my stomach turn or staring at the bathroom sign and frowning because it was a reminder.

Recently I have come out to a few people and they have taken it great. Even Brittnee she's been the best. She helped me pick out a name and has even started calling me by it. :)

Welcome to Laura's Playground Nate :)

I'm glad you have a girlfriend who is so accepting. It is important to have the ones closest to us who are the most supportive. I am sorry about your stepfather. You already know that not everybody will accept you. It appears you've accepted this too. This is a great place to find the added support you will need and to find like minded individuals. I believe you will enjoy your time here sir.

One more thing, I'd like you to read the terms & conditions found in the upper right corner of almost every page, if you haven't already. We keep the site PG-13.

I wish your journey to go as smooth as possible.

Jenny

@MaeBe, Good luck and best wishes on the new start in the Great Northwest. I don’t know a parent that didn’t call out their kids for being drunk or high as rebellious teenagers. I just told my teens that they can’t kid a kidder, and I was a teenager early 1970s we could drink legally at 18 so I have tons of experience spotting drunk kids.    As for the poetry, I liked it.  We never have enough support bras or tee shirts in the rotation.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Oh my @KymmieL, I’m sorry you’re on the job hunt again. They didn’t seem to be a good fit for you anyway. You deserve to be treated fairly and not undermined by competing owners who don’t communicate well.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Feel free to join in on any of the threads you like. I’m sure others will drop in and say hi. Greetings everyone,   This is my introduction, I'm old and like donuts!  Let's see, what else...   I started my transition VERY recently, 5/17, after feeling like I've been uncomfortable doing it for like 20 years.  I lived in states where LGBT rights are strained, and have recently moved to a more friendly state.  I'm short, like gardening and crafts and rain.  Still a huge mixture of nervous, scared, excited and elated to finally be in a position where I can start.  I'm kind of easily excited, have the attention span of a humming bird does that to one, and usually medicate that with video games.  Not much else about me for now.  Started exercising so I can get my weight down as part of the transformation.  Still, I joined as I have questions and wanted to be with like minded folks.   Also, love trading recipes.
