Hello everyone. Glad to be here.

I suppose this is where I tell everyone about myself, yes? Hmm, well, I'm 20, FtM, a complete geek, and hopelessly addicted to coffee. Right now I live with family - the more conservative side of it, unfortunately, although it's still an awesome family for the most part - while I complete my associate's degree in Art and try to rummage up somewhere to transfer to afterwards (before I have to scramble to get everything together for it). My mom and dad each have a dog, and I love my dogs very much. I suppose I love my siblings too, but mainly I love the dogs. My brothers and sister understand, I'm sure. I like animation and comics, the more unique the art style the better. Most of my free time is divided among drawing, reading and playing WoW, which made me a bit of an oddity in high school (although not so much in college).

I've been inching my way into knowing I'm trans, I suppose, for years: ever since middle school or earlier I knew I was very obviously a boyish sort of girl, but never really connected myself with transgender until a little over a year and a half ago. Since then I've been researching and thinking and investigating, and I think I'm ready to tell people now and get started with therapy-- get everything rolling, really. I've made my plans -- hopefully telling mom next week, and dad not long after that-- and I'm beginning to be really anxious to have it all over with.

As to my username? It's what I'm hoping to have my middle name changed to. My first name is a perfectly serviceable unisex name, so I'll be keeping it, but my middle name's not (and I really never liked it anyway). Truth be told, I actually picked this name out for my middle before I ever realised I was trans.

Thanks! I'm hoping it goes well too, especially since I get to spend all summer with mom (so if it goes badly, it'll be a very awkward three months. ^^
