Finding Shoes That Fit

I know that some people must have the same problem as I do... for dress it is easy enough to access clothes and accessories, cloth, nylon, and all of that stuff fits, but shoes are barley made wide enough for a genetic woman's feet that it can sometimes feel impossible to get them if you were born with wide male feet. Any suggestions?

.

Yeah, I've always had that problem, too....my feet are short, but, wide...

Don't make the mistake of buying shoes that "barely" fit and hoping they stretch out....

It will kill ya!

A general rule that i was told is to add 2 sizes to you normal male foot size and that will be your size in women shoes. If you wear a 10 in mens, u would need a 12 in womens. And also in the proper width. One of my fav's online is desiginershoes.com. Have fun shopping.

Have a Fabulous Day!!

Doesn't seem to work on women's larger sizes. I once wore 12 medium men's. I wear women's 12 W or 13 M

Try 6pm.com, they have large sizes and widths in womens shoes. Kimberly Payless only has 12w shoes online, at least in my area anyhow. I have tried many Payless shoe stores where I live and none carried any womens shoes past a size 10. I wear a size 12w as well.

Gojane.com is nice too, but they don't carry anything over size 10. Works for me, but I can wear shoes a bit small because I've been rock climbing for 20+ years. Climbing shoes make heels feel like slippers by comparisson. I have narrow feet too though. Probably due to having been cramming them into climbing shoes for so long.

Lots of cute stuff there. Also, you can usually go 1/2 size smaller with open toe or sandal styles. I'm probably not the best person to ask come to think of it. I can usually find shoes anywhere :) The whole size 10 ceiling for women's shoes isn't a problem for me.

Famous Footware is my fav shoe store and I like Payless too.

Cheers,

Elena

12w and larger. I've seen 13's and I think even 14's at my local one. I tried the whole "add 2 sizes" thing, making me a 12, but they weren't quite right (I'm closer to an 11w) so I don't think it'll work for everyone although it is a very great starting point.

Best of luck in your hunt!

Also, when wearing heels, your feet are pushed forward (by gravity) and you'll probably take a smaller size than in a flat. I'm almost 2 sizes smaller in that type of shoe.

I'm FTM, but I used to have this problem back when I would wear girls shoes. I have huge feet for a 'girl', so whenever I could I would wear mens shoes. Right now I'm a 10.5 in men's shoes, and a 12 wide in women's. If they don't have wide, just go up a size or a half size and they should fit.

In larger sizes going up two sizes might be too much. I wear a 10 mens but I've noticed I can do a 10.5 women's if the heel is at least 3.5". On a smaller heel I need an 11.

But what happens when you get way up there like with me and my Mens 13s?

I thought it was go up half-a-size, at least that's the way it works out for me. I'm a 9 1/2 in mens, and a 10 in womens.

I bought my heels from Exotic High Heels and had a pleasant experience. They have a good return policy where they'll pay shipping on an exchange pair if you need to adjust sizes. And as for me and the 2 size rule, it didn't work in that I normally where a 10.5 mens and had to go 15 in the heels. I might have been able to squeeze into a 14, but that's what I ordered first and it felt like I was wearing a pair of vises.

I've heard others say not to buy from Pleasers, but that's what I currently have and have had no problems with them, so I guess the bottom line is sizes and makers aren't consistant. Like Dee Jay (I think) said, it you can try them on first, do so. And I've heard that if you're going to go to a store, wear the nylons or socks that you'll normally be wearing since they can make a difference in the fit. And if you're embarassed to go into a store, now is the time to do it since you can just say that it's for a Halloween costume you're putting together. Good Luck.

This is a Valentino shoe I found online at Saks Fifth Avenue's web site. If only I had the $800 to afford it.

I'm really pushing it. I wear a mens size 14. I'll never be able to find anything to even try on if I have to go 2 even 1 size higher. Annoying big ol feet!

Try Barefoot Tess. They carry over a hundred and fifty in women's size 15. And they tell you on every one if it's a true size, or to order a size smaller. You might have some luck with that place.

I have found some people correlate TG = child predator ... just as some have correlated homosexual = child predator...    I am baffled by the TG = unsafe connection ... my wife tends to think this way, that this is all about sexual deviancy ... I try to ask how my preference for wearing frilly socks with embroidered flowers and a comfortable camisole under my lavender T-shirts is sexually deviant (or sexual anything) but I don't get very far...

Not sure.  The perp is a minor.  The problem here is NOT transgender, the problem here is incompetent and criminal administration.  See https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/family-of-loudoun-co-student-sexually-assaulted-ineptitude-of-all-involved-is-staggering/3231725/ It is more than annoying that people think the problem here is TG and that other people think the solution is some stupid statewide law.  Like an appendectomy to deal with an ingrown toe nail.    Since Loudon, I recall a boy was asked not to use the girl's restroom at a high school by one of the girls.  He, overwhelming her with height and weight,  assaulted her, claiming he had a right to be there.   Later I think eight girls beat him severely in another girl's restroom.  Again the problem is not transgender, the problem is assaults in restrooms and common courtesy.  TG is used as a smokescreen and it seems to paralyze thought among administrators who do not want to do anything to provoke controversy.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either
