Sex Drive And Testosterone

Interesting..I started when I was like, 2 or 3 years old lol...I think that's not even as common for males (I remember reading some survey once that was all men and 2-3 years old had a very low frequency of answers..

I think some of it might be literally having a male brain. Because of that theory about trans-ness being caused by testosterone entering your brain in the womb, maybe that has something to do with the way our brain controls our bodies? I've also heard about your brain having a sort of map of the rest of your body, so maybe our brain feels like there are certain body parts there, that really aren't there..

I'm also thinking about my other thread about 75-80% of FTM's testing positive for the H-Y antigen, which is really only found in bio-males, and is responsible for testicular development in the womb..

Something about it seems to just make a lot of sense to me ;)

yeah, i had a pretty high sex-drive even before T so now that i've been on T for awhile i'm definitely one of those guys who'll "take care of my buisness" in a bathroom of a public place

Guys! Sheesh! lol, even when I was physically a fully charged male, I could always at least wait until I got home. I'd never think of doing it in a public place.

It kind of reminds me of a story, though...

Back in high school I had a friend who thought 'jizz' mean 'urine'. At work he'd always tell his boss "I have to go take a jizz" as he slinked off to the bathroom. I can only imagine what the boss must have been thinking.

Is anyone else thinking that in the same way it seems like FTM's have a higher sex drive pre-transition than a typical bio-female, MTF's may have a lower sex drive compared to that of a typical bio-male?

Just a thought that popped into my head when I read snowangel's response (the one I quoted)..lol

lol, that's a good story.

I guess that the reason you never had to do it in a public place is because you were always a woman. I was always a man, even before I realised. I just can't control myself! lol

*approving posts while getting very very red* :o

Hrm.... that's interesting. I always did have my close guy buddies tell me about how they "took care of their business" in the bathroom and such...and thought they were weird. (even though, it was like 3 of my close friends that said that) I always thought that was unbelievable that they did that...hmm... interesting. I'm sure if it was about having low sex drives though ^^

Yeah, like I said, I think it might have a lot to do with the way the brain controls the body depending on its (i.e. your) gender identity.

But it makes sense. Id always compared my uhh..habits to those of my guy friends anyway. Never really realizing that girls dont do it that often. And always surprised when people said otherwise. At one point I just thought something was wrong with me (which in a way it is...with the girl parts and such) ... but I got over caring and just handled my business.
Just wondering, how often do most bio-girls, um, take care of buisiness, compared to bio-guys?

Cuz i'm pre-T & i'm like every other day.

I've also heard about your brain having a sort of map of the rest of your body, so maybe our brain feels like there are certain body parts there, that really aren't there..
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats exactly how i've felt for years!

I'm not sure exactly, but since I am drawn to these strange types of statistics online (I'm an info junkie ), I can say that some bio-girls, don't do it at all, and overall, percentage-wise, there is a higher percentage of guys than girls (I think it's around 90-95% for guys and only about 70-75% for girls that actually DO it, but again I don't know much about frequency..maybe I should go back to my research

Phantom-Limb Syndrome :) I read about this a few months ago, it may have even been on a post here on the forum, although I can't remember..I just remember it was an FTM discussion about having this feeling, and then I remember reading somewhere else online (again, I don't remember where) that your brain has a map of your body, so if you are TS your brain will be mapped out like that of the opposite sex...that also happens with actual Phantom-Limb Syndrome; they believe that after people have an arm or a leg amputated, the brain still has some neural connection to the amputated limb, thus you feel like it's still there, and you also have a memory of it being there.

Most of my female friends have told me that they do it about once a week. Some less often. Some say once a month.

That's so true for me. Now at least with my packy I can easily um, take care of business like a bio-male would. It's freaky how something fake and rubbery can feel like it's truly a body part.

yeah Ditto on everything you said. I finally thought to myself when I get the urge I need to do something else. I am not talking about reading a book or watching TV, cuz we both know that does NOT cut it. So even though I work out regularly anyway I use this time to seriously work myslef. It is so good for your body and your mind. I stretch really good, take a long hot shower scrubbing, exfoliating (new hair growth itches) or lift some weights. If I am feeling really uh anxious I will run a couple miles and take a cold shower. Inevitably I feel a lot better and I don't have to worry about my hand falling off from being overworked.

this is all very interesting to read, cause i'm MTF. its cool to see how it works in the other direction :P but all i can say is that a person's sex drive, in my experience, really depends on the person. and T just makes it even stronger, lol. i have the issue of thinking about it all the time as well, so i understand how you feel. but your a guy, so i'm happy for you. all i can say is that you get use to it after a while. you eventually learn to control the drive after a few years with it. its just as strong, but it stops shaking your world after a while. personally, i wont be sad to see it go, but thats cause i'm a girl :D

I'm blunt, beware.

I've always had a very high sex drive for as far back as I can remember and I've been attempting self gratification since I was eight, but I'm completely anorgasmic... Which means exactly what it says, that I can't orgasm no matter WHAT I try, and have never been able to do so or even get to a point where self gratification is satisfying. It's EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING and it'll likely just get worse on T, which is the only thing I'm really worried about other than the strictly physical issues. I have no partner at the moment either, so it's not like I can even take out my sexual frustration on someone else. My sex drive is already high enough that sexuality is almost constantly on my mind (indeed, it's almost like background noise at this point) and I get frequent erections, but I can't actually do anything about it other than wait for the desire to fade, which is agonizing. Usually I'll just go through the motions of self gratification, but I either don't feel much of anything or it starts hurting (or even ~burning~ like acid).

I honestly don't know what to do about it. I'd be a tad awkward to go to a specialist for female-bodieds when my needs are significantly different...

Believe it or not it was done in the 80's. Here's a link to the abstract if you're interested:

Transsexuality and H-Y antigen

Directly to the right you'll see links to some similar articles, with similar findings. I have to say I had to read it over a few times because it seemed too good to be true...but there you have it. :D

Okay, this is kinda related to one of my other posts, but this has been bugging me for awhile and I think this is the best place to mention it, rather than start my own embarassing thread

In another post when I was asking about the very slight possibiity of me being intersexed, someone brought up being tested for a prostate, which I've never heard of before. But it made me realize..all this that we're talking about...I always..um.."behave" the same way a male would, in terms of the position and stuff....and that whole Phantom Limb Syndrome concept always stems out of this thing as well, and it's also where I got the idea that there must be something male inside me somewhere..like maybe a prostate...but internally..when that was mentioned I kinda lit up ^_^

While I can have some pleasurable sensations while self gratification, I also can't orgasm. I agree, it's very frustrating. I feel like there's something shamefully wrong with me. I keep wondering if bottom surgery will help things - or make things worse. I don't know if it's physical or because of past dysphoria and sexual abuse.

Man that censor is annoying...

Anyways, bottom surgery is probably likely not going to affect it either way unless they mess up - if you get a meta, that is. A phallo might mess stuff up, I'm not sure... I really don't know what's wrong for either of us. Whatever it is, it REALLY annoys me. I've never been sexually abused at all, so the only reasonable explanations for me are either my body dysphoria or something actually being wrong.

I suppose that could be true in a general level. Everyone is different, and sex drive isn't based entirely on being male or female.

After reading these post, Wow! And I thought I had a high sex drive. But now that I think about it I never realy talked about it with anyone. I could always wait as long I need to. And if If I wait long enough the desire could go away.

Yeah if you find anything else about frequency let me/us know :D

Interesting :] I had theories about that years ago.... when i saw this little kid that got his leg amputated & he was freaking out cuz he felt like it was still there... at least i know now that we're not nuts XD

Most of my female friends have told me that they do it about once a week. Some less often. Some say once a month.

Hmmm .Well i can go anywhere between once or twice a week to twice a day.... I keep changing.

I do too, but the thing is, the more you do it, you keep doing it more and more often..but once you break the vicious cycle, you stop for awhile..at least for me, that's why i keep changing.

happy trans birthday! I can't speak personally on the subject, but I hope hormones bring you the changes you're looking for <3

That’s super healthy, to see that something that becomes common has less effect on you and that you are able to decipher these feelings.   Sadly, this trend tends to only deaden good feelings as we tend not to let bad feelings attenuate the same way.   I have noticed less euphoria, but still feel the dysphorias that I have. Sometimes the good sneaks in and reminds me, but often time it’s just me seeing myself in the mirror and being comfortable about what I see when embracing my realized self. I may not get the same buzz I once did, but I don’t feel incongruous when looking at a more “drab” reflection.    Wishing you strength, you are amazing!

Meet him at the being good to others part of Christianity. At the heart of it, there are excellent tenets of the faith. Those that condemn are judging, Jesus would have us be selfless; stone casting and all that. Are you a good person? Are you putting good into the world? If your gender is an issue for God, let God judge. In the mortal realm, let your actions be heard.

Let’s stick to cite-able fact. Most of my posts have been directly in relation to LGBTQ+ rights as it pertains to P2025 and I have drawn direct links between people, their quotes, and their agenda. I have made reference to the cronyism that P2025 would entail as well, by gutting, not cutting, broad swathes of government and replacing it with “conservative warriors” (I can get you the direct quote, but rest assured it’s a quote). All this does is constantly force the cogs to be refitted, not their movement. To say that agencies have directly defied a President is a bit much, the EPA did what Trump told them to do at the direct harm to the environment, the department of agriculture did the same by enacting the administrations forced move to KC which decimated the USDA.      How about Betsy DeVoss for Education? Or Bannon for anything? What about the revolving Chief of Staff position that Trump couldn’t stay filled? Or the Postmaster General, who did much to make the USPS worse?   Let’s not mix politics with racism, sexism, or any other ism. Because Trump made mainly white, male, appointments—many of them not, arguably, people fit for service—or unwilling to commit to term. I can argue this because, again, he’s up for election and will do what he did before (and more of the same, his words).   Please delineate how the selected diversity appointments have negatively affected the US, other than being black, women, or queer? Representation matters and America benefits when its people are inspired and empowered.

When I first started figuring things out, I got a lot more euphoria. Every time a friend would use he/they pronouns for me, I'd get this bubbly feeling, and seeing myself look masculine made me really happy. Dysphoric state felt more normal, so I guess I noticed the pain it caused me less.   Now, it's more just that my pronouns and such things feel natural, and dysphoria is a lot stronger -- I know what's natural, so experiencing the opposite is more jarring than everything. The problem is, most of my natural experiences are from friends, and I rarely get properly gendered by strangers, much less by my family. I've found myself unable to bind in months due to aches, colds,, and not wanting to risk damage.    It partially makes me want to go back to the beginning of my journey, because at least then I got full euphoria. I'm pretty sure it'll be like this until I medically transition, or at the very least get top surgery (you know all those trans dudes online with tiny chests? Not me, unfortunately). It's a bit depressing, but at least I know that, eventually, there's a way out of this.

As for getting a button-up/formal pants suit, you can try to talk to her more -- Cis women in tuxes have worn tuxes in recent years, after all, (for example, Zendaya) so it can still be a relatively safe topic. For jumpsuits, I'd recommend going with a simple one with a blazer, if you can -- this'll make it look overall more masculine. There's a lot of good brands, but going for one without a lot of extra glitz on it will make it look less feminine under a blazer. I don't know many specific brands though since I usually just get my stuff from chain stores, sorry :<   When it comes to your hair, if you can't cut it, you can look up tutorials on fluffing it up instead. If you can pull it off, it can look a lot shorter and more androgynous instead!
