So for a calming cup of coffee in the specific mug she requested last time, Dee Jay will be in here later.

I may not be as good looking as you Lizzy and Dee Jay may prefer your coffee and company, but she likes to pick on me, just to keep me on my toes.

Hey all, gotta make my rounds on hugs for everyone

*****HUGS*****

Okay, just stopped by to see my favorite people and get some energy.

... How about ... A large Mocha with extra shots of espresso and something with a ridiculous amount of chocolate.

Amy,

Handing you your Mocha with extra shots of espresso and lots of chocolate. Topped with a Hershey kiss.

So this Memorial day we gave her a hot cup of 'straight black' Libya-brewed-with-a-fly coffee, in an aluminum cup with a big dent on the side and a semi squashed handle - and so hot she burned off her eyebrows. We put her on an elevator which dropped 45 floors - so she could feel right while pouring it into the cup - then whisked her through town standing up in the convertible at 165 mph, shooting at her with blanks (hope they were blanks). She yelled out something but it was too noisy to hear, and she signaled we were number one with her!

Nothing too good for our Veterans!

Lizzy

*snif*....yeah, it was beautiful....

Coffee that could peel paint and a very special cup....just like 'ole times....

Thanks, Hon.

Just the usual, please!

I have my own 42 oz cup (trying to cut back).

Colombian or Dark French Roast - grind the beans iffin you would - like'er fresh and sassy!

About a half pint of half & half, iffa ya would please my dear... none a that watery whole milk stuff or that powdered - whatever it is - coconut dust? malt-o-meal?

And a few packets of natural sweetener, not that pink, or yellow, or blue chemical concoction. And don't stir it - I like that 'sudden sweetness' at the bottom of the cup.

Serve it hot, serve it lukewarm - don't care that much. Just serve it! Will be my breakfast usually - nothin' else needed.

[Dee Jay does the coffee most days, and I hav'ta confess, I love her for that! Sally does not partake, but she is strange in other ways too.]

Lizzy

Oh oh oh - Coffee with 'chicory' is for the tourists... but cafe au lait is the real deal, especially with beignets! Oh ma cherie! BON BON BON

Lizzy's usual coming up. And no one touch it because if you do, I will cut you off coffee and pastries! Took my time getting it just right.

Lizzy, I am joining you for a cup.

Colombian and French Roast are both good choices and half and half is a must. Natural sweetener is good, but I like Splenda too. And I like flavored creamer, depending on the mood.

Flavored coffee, no way.

Since you prefer cafe au lait with beignets, and are just having a regular cup of coffee right now, how about some fresh cannoli?

Is that those little Italian things with tomato sauce and cheese on them?

The picture would be mouth-watering and Dee Jay, I have a feeling you are kidding about not knowing what a cannoli is...but since you asked...

Cannoli are Sicilian pastry desserts. Cannoli consist of tube-shaped shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing mascarpone.

Wow John, I've been spending too much time in the real world and missed the re-opening of the coffee shop ....

I've been getting ready for winter, getting the last few miles out of the bikes and putting them in storage. :(

I sure could use a nice big hot spiced Chai Latte, and if you don't mind put a little cinnamon on top please. :)

Big Hugs

Shelley

Maybe surface tension?   I was in a political debate yesterday and it got way too focused on social stuff and I just had to steer the conversation back to how natural gas transitions to a liquid under pressure.  One of the people I was debating had a career working in that field and it was a good opportunity to expose stuff like that.  He mentioned that it isn't just pressure, it is temperature too.  So then I mentioned how the lines are running underground and asked how that played a role in it.  He came back saying that natural gas is a liquid under pressure.  I guess I didn't get a straight answer on that, but it did move my thinking one step down the road.  Perhaps I should have been more direct with him and asked him at what temperature and pressure.  Is there a chart?   I feel people would be better off if they paid more attention to the objects in their environment instead of focusing on some of the things that we hear so much of in the news.  People are pretty clueless as to how much trigonometry plays a role in so many things in our society.  Even land surveyors don't really use it anymore because programmers locked it away in a function.  Much like how cascading style sheets (CSS) is a wrapper for math.  I wonder what former president Trump thinks about all of that?  He must have some knowledge of how his buildings are constructed, right?  There certainly is a part of me that thinks he is just putting on a show about all of this.  Perhaps I'm wrong though.  All kinds of people in the world.

Oh, my "maybe this person is an egg" story is the (male presenting) piercing person and I discussed body hair removal methods, he says he doesn't want any hair except on his head, which is what I said during a couple hair removal sessions before and just after the egg cracked.

I, too, am lucky.  Here in the UK I have a great therapist, a fully supportive GP, and a psychiatrist and endo who look after me and my needs.  I found the therapist on Psychology Today.

Over the last few years of being on this site and going through medical transition, I've come to own the M->F identification.  Funny, I made a typo of M->T.  It is a curiosity if I'll ever put Gender: Female on this site.  It is my intention to be there someday.   Right now, because of career stuff and a high stress event with an electric hair clipper last fall, I'm feeling much more masculine than I would like.  I think that once I make some decent headway with my third career, I'll settle into a more feminine feeling.   I never really considered gender very much.  I certainly always used a feminine appearance as my presentation goal. I think that when I was young, I briefly had the idea of transitioning, but I convinced myself quickly that medical transition would be a bad outcome, so I put all those feelings and ideas in the closet for decades.  I'm still very apprehensive about medical transition.  I've always taken health to be a high priority for me.  I wrote a book last December about my fears of it all and my conclusion ultimately is that sometimes there is more to life than being a pillar of health.  It's important to take some chances if that is where your heart takes you.

Good morning and congratulations @MirandaBon getting your ears pierced. This opens up a new line of jewelry to buy and collect.    @KymmieLits ashamed that any employee would ever to post a sign like this.    Well Parker Von Schwinegruber not only got me up early, we enjoyed our first cup of coffee on the patio before the sun was up. Oh it was daylight but just barely. The second cup of coffee was in the recliner, and now I’m pinned here and need someone to pour my third cup.    It’s a dog’s life… Eat, play, go potty and sleep.
