Kitty,

Sorry I cannot help with this one. I am sure one of the ladies will be along shortly. I can say hi though and hope you are having a nice day.

OMG hon, there's so many styles, shapes, etc. It so depends on what you are wearing it for and under. If it's just you, or something extra also. And what you want it to do for you. Honestly, you are best just going to a store atnd asking for help being fitted. This to go with that dress we talked about?

Cheers,

Elena

Victoria's Secret is usually trans friendly from what I have read. I know we have had members call them and discuss a visit ahead of time. They can measure you for a proper fit or advise you how to do it. If they aren't in your budget most department stores have a foundation department that may work with you. A discreet inquiry usually elicits help. They have very often worked with trans people before and are helpful. Especially if they are on a quota or commission.

Plastic is a heavy weapon in the battle for acceptance sometimes :D

Otherwise there are also sites that cover how to measure and you can order from ebay etc when you know your size. With eBay you can always resell if the fit is wrong when it arrives. Just look at the seller rating and you should be fine.

Good luck!

Bra's are like all clothes for the most part you need to try them on to see if it's a good fit.

There are many sites online that show you what size to get, If you have real boobs then have the cup size fit If not just make sure the band size fits and get whatever cup size you like  And you can never go wrong with a nice Sports bra

BTW... i live in Indiana as well :friends:

I've brought a bra there before and the lady was nice. I do think it wouldn't hurt to go back. I think this time I'll explain my situation so they can help me better. Although the first bra I bought there I was very happy with. I actually threw that one out because the straps melted together making the whole bra worthless for wear.

If you're JUST starting to shop for a bra, then you're probably NOT comfie shopping in a store yet, nor (unless I miss my guess) are you very far along in your transition. I'd suggest a couple of ideas.

1. Get yourself measured -- you can self measure pretty easily. THere are plenty of guides on the internet to show you how to measure yourself. NOw, as for 'cup size' measure (which is the difference in the cross-the-nipple measure versus the under-boob measure), you'll come out as a negative something, right? Go with a small, VERY padded cup size first -- nothing to be embarassed about an "A" cup.

2. On-line is your friend. The BEST deals on-line are going to be from Target, IMHO. You don't want to spend a FORTUNE on your first few bras, because you're going to need to get comfie, and find out what works for you.

3. With THAT in mind, think "t-shirt" bra. It's full coverage, and nicely padded, without being too much "your grandma's bra".

4. For padding.... sigh.... DON'T go for socks or tissue. Find an old pair of pantyhose (this is a trick from the breast augmentation community). Cut out two feet (leave yourself plenty of room). Now, fill each foot with two cups of rice for every one cup size you need to create. If you're totally pre-hormonal, with no boobage at all, buy an a-cup bra and use two cups of rice in each of the bags you're creating. PLAN TO REPLACE THESE REGULARLY.... you're going to perspire and ruin them. However, this is a cheap way to simulate the weight and feel of an actual boob.

5. If you have any chest flab at all, you can create some cleavage with two tricks. FIRST, take some duct tape, wrap under one armpit, then pull under your boobs (so that the band of the bra will cover this) and stretch to the other armpit, gathering whatever flab you've got along the way. SECOND.... a makeup trick. Whatever cleavage is created, use facial powder and paint two areas. FIRST, where your actual boob is (imagene the two o's in O\/O ) dust some light colored powder. Next, in the cleavage and upper bodace, use darker powder, and even paint (with powder) a "Y" right down into your cleavage. This will give a really great optical illusion of having more boobage than you actually have.

Hugs!

Umm.. *looks around nervously* i.. have a question in regards to this topic... i've measured and before anything else i measure at 34" most places i've seen say to take that and add 2-4" thus making me a 36-38 band, and recently ordered a pair of 36B breast forms (cause i'm pre hormonal, and gender therapy due to where i work) and i was wondering what type of bras were best with things like this... *blushes* i've never bought a bra so other than 36B i don't know much else about going about this.... any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, let me see if I can add to this. The band size is measured under you breasts, You can use any cup size you wish if you already have breasts, because you are no longer exactly flat chested anymore. So a B cup insert enhancement, on top of your existing A cup? That gives a C cup usually.

A B cup insert enhancement on top of an existing B cup? It still gives a C cup, but just fuller. I have small C cup breasts after 33 months HRT, although they are getting close to a full C. I once bought C cup bras and added enhancement. I don't need to do that much anymore, although I will sometimes add enhancement with a revealing cut low blouse, just to plump up the girls a bit.

They do make push up bras, and they make padded bras, all types. I think you need to try them on to see how they look. Every girl needs a few special bras, but the standard bras work best for everyday.

And you bigger girls? When you get past band size 38, they tend to make bras maw-mawish. I wear a 40 C, so I usually buy a 38 C and use strap extenders. The cups fit better. The only problem is straps slipping off the shoulders, and that is getting to be less of a problem as my shoulders soften. But they also make strap tighteners that work great.

I've tried the rice in the pantyhose thing. It's incredibly uncomfortable. Dry lentils (particularly red lentils) are much better for this as they are very smooth, so they aren't scratchy and they flow around each other much better and so keep a nice shape. Also, they're very small which also helps keep a nice smooth shape.

I used to cook with large quantities of red lentils, and I loved running my hands through them dry. They feel very silky and cool :)

Good morning everyone,   It was our first night with our European Boxer and it went well. We got up at 05:30 let him out of the cage and went directly outside to give him a chance to go potty. It has been raining for two days and nights so the grass is soaked and nearly up to his belly. I don’t think he’s ever been outside while it’s raining or wet. I had my rain jacket on and a big brimmed hat as well as rain boots, he just stayed at my feet no matter where we went in the yard. I took him to the previous locations where out daughter’s dog had gone poo, but he just sat at my feet. Once inside and drying him off with a towel. He took a poo right there. So I gathered up his mess, and took him and his poo outside. So right now it’s dog one, trainer zero. Now that the coffee is brewed and I have a cup, he’s chewing on a toy.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Strange that I awoke from a dream dreaming about "being able to pee standing up!"   I know that sounds strange from someone AMAB, but intersex issues have always prevented that.    I wonder what made me dream like that? That was a first! 🤔

Morning y'all.    Nearly winter here, but it's a mild climate compared to what most of you experience. Even so, the best way to describe the mornings lately is...nipply! 😁

What I don’t like about the dealer working on my car, yes the put the paper mats on the floor, but why don’t they remove them when they bring my car to me?  And why do they always mess with my radio settings and my electronic dashboard settings?  I get them the way I want them and they seem to want them at factory default.  Leave things like you find them!  Why is that so difficult?  And don’t tell me it’s because the updated the computer! Every time!.  And no I haven’t figured out everything yet on the new car.  I can’t even get my key programmed to move my seat when I get in and out.  It’s supposed to move the seat, the mirrors, the steering wheel and several other things.  My old Eddie Bauer was easy to program but then it only programmed seat location and pedal location.   ok now that we’ve had our rousing knock on cars and dealer mechanics.  What else shall we talk about?  Bras?  Seems like an appropriate subject for most of us.  I have several different types. Two are famous store push-up padded to are more common everyday lightly padded ant one is a no padding no strap slip and the last one is a front close longline no padding.  Now that one supports the theory that I am now a B cup on my own. I’d prefer a C but then I’m not so sure my blouses would still fit without pulling.  Ah the problem we have as women.  And sizes are never ever the same.  Oh I’m a size ??  But men I need a large shirt and 36-30 pants and they always fit.   we can’t buy anything off the rack with confidence it will fit and I hate having to take it home to try one and return what doesn’t fit.   we’ll time to do my hair and leave.   love ya   Willow
