My birth given name Jamie, but MY name is Jay. I am 20 years old and have finally came to terms with the fact that i am a male. From a very young age i always knew that i was different. I found girls attractive, and physically attracted to them, played with hot wheels, played in the dirt, and got along much better with guys than i did girls. If my mother tried to put me in female clothing, it was world war 2 for her. I have put away the thoughts for many years and lived my life for others, to make them happy while leaving myself miserable inside. I have recently talked to the girl i am engaged to about my feelings and thoughts and she accepted it and told me to do what i needed to be happy and she would always support me. I have recently began to tell my friends who i hope are going to be supportive of me, and my family i am terrified they are going to disown me, but the way i look at it, at least i get to be happy, because if they cannot accept it i will not need them in my life.

welcome to the forum. I'm always really glad when other people in their 20s join haha... congrats on deciding to live for yourself sometimes it is hard for other people to understand, but relationships change no matter what over time.
