Clothes You Want But For Some Reason Can't Get Yet

I figured I'd make a thread to post your 'dream clothes' that you can't afford, can't find in the store, etc.

Though there are a lot of clothes I want to get, since I don't have a big wardrobe, especially when it comes to formal clothes, I'd really like to get a high or at least decent quality three piece suit, either in navy blue or grey, with peak lapels and either two or three buttons. Unfortunately suits, both new and vintage, are quite pricey, and I doubt I'd be able to find a complete three piece in the size I need in a thrift store, so I'll have to wait a while until I can afford one.

I kind of wish someone I know would get married or do something requiring formal wear so I'd have an excuse to go and buy one, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.

Russet and pale green Silk Regency Ballgown with gold roses embroidered into the bodice. I have the pattern all made, even know where to buy the materials. Insanely expensive just for the cloth, not to mention the 70-80 hours it will take to make it. I will get to it eventually!

Then I just have to find someone to escort me to the gala event of the year so I can actually wear it.

Wow, that's quite fancy, though I'm not sure what some of those words you used (russet, bodice) actually mean.

When it comes to clothes, I think the old phrase 'you get what you pay for' usually rings true.

Russet is a light medium brown color with red overtones. My hair is about 2 shades lighter brown with natural coppery highlights. And the green would match my eyes. :)

The bodice of a dress is the part from hips to bust, and implies being form fitted.

I'd love a bullet bra and an actual real corset tailored to my measurements.

...um, but only when I lose a couple (thousand) pounds.

Oh wait! Thanks to checking email I came up with another answer.

Practically everything from the Kiyonna website. They have some great tops and dresses and whatnot but it's mostly stuff with low necklines and I do not have the boobs to pull that off yet...and it makes me jealous. :(

There's a bikini I really want, but I don't have the body for it yet. I need to lose about...40 pounds or so around the middle before I'd even consider it.

A lot of times I go one sites like urban outfitters or something and fill up the cart with all the clothes I want/wish I could wear. I did that today and ended up with a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff in there.

I really really really want a nice suit jacket (even though I have nothing to wear it with). I totally got my hopes up when I was at a consignment shop yesterday. Saw it on the sale rack (as many blue tags as you can fit into a single paper bag for five dollars). It was a dark charcoal with tiny gray pinstripes and looked so handsome....But even though it had no pleats or anything overtly girly, it had shoulder pads (and total tip-off), was slightly too small in the shoulders and was a hair too short for my arms....

I was really disappointed.

So yeah, a nice suit jacket (I have no idea why).

I've always wanted a little black dress. I just don't have the body or the confidence to wear one... yet. Hopefully that will change one day.

Now Lizzie Girl, I've told you a "million times" not to exaggerate.

Call me way old fashion, but I'd love to have a typical housecleaning dress like they show on old westerns. Don't really know why, but I love the way they fall to the floor.

All the clothes I REALLY want, but am still too shy to do the actual shopping for. And a pair of shoes that fit me comfortably. That would be nice.
