Which Jeans Should I Get?

What is the major difference between "girls" and "guys" jeans? Should I get the guy skinnies or regular girls jeans? People tell me they are the same but I don't believe that...

The fabric is the same. The cut is very different. Women,juniors and misses all have different shapes because of their different developmental stages. in jeans it has to do with the hips. Womens jeans being the widest. There is also a difference in rise. That is the measurement from the center point between your legs to the top of the waist band. Girls jeans are generally low rise to medium rise and both will be lower than mens jeans. Low rise jeans look very sexy but are uncomfortable to wear at first and because as males we lack hips require a belt to keep them in place. I also suggest longer shirts that come down to the bottom of the waist band to keep from flashing your panties if that's what you decide to wear.

Is it weird I really want to be a girl right now? I'm kinda caught between a hard place and rock so to say...anyway enough about that...maybe I could combine a little of both styles into something that looks cute. Well not jeans but clothing. Look for size long they are made for taller girls. I am 5'10.5 and I haven't had any problem finding skinny jeans as they only need to reach our ankles. With boot cut jeans can be harder to find because the syle is to wear them down the heel some.

Wow, another 5'10", 28x32'er here? I thought I was the only one!

After too many years trying to find size one long in the women's department, and after coming to terms with my FTM-ness, I actually find 28x32 easier to find. Target has 28x30's that, in the Converse brand, are certainly long enough, and the Gap has many 28x32 jeans in most stores. The Gap also has many long ladies' jeans, if that's what you prefer. Sears has a great selection, though you may have to shop online. And the best long ladies' pants I've found have come from an online store, alloy.com, where you choose your size (they have 00 to 16+) and then choose the inseam (28" to 37"), for very very reasonable prices.

Differences I've noticed: women's zippers are MUCH shorter, women's belt loops are often thinner and not as wide, men's jeans have real pockets, men's have more room in the zipper region (without changing where they sit on the hips), and ladies' jeans have little pockets that sit on the curve of the bottom (and accentuate curve) while mens' have bigger pockets that cover the mid-lower bottom and onto the back of the leg (and minimize curve).

As most of the differences have already been covered I'll just add this: always go with what looks good on you. That could be juniors, misses, or women's and truly depends on the style and cut of the jeans in question. Ultimately, if you don't like the way you look in them, you're not going to wear them, and the only way to figure that out is going to be to try them on...

actually i find that womens jeans fit and look better if you're tucking, but if you're not (or simply dont), mens skinny jeans dont look bad either. the mens skinnys i buy from hot topic are very stretchy and provide plenty of room for that certain region. and since they cling very close, they have that womens jean type feel.. at least thats my opinion

Womens Jeans fit me so much better than my mens jeans I love the hugger jeans they fit perfect on my hips, they are so comfortable.

Since my wife tends to wear clothes that are quite loose, which has

alwaysfrustrated me because she has a really good body, I urged her

to try on a pair of my ladies skinny jeans. I wear a size 8 with average

length that I usually buy at Costco because of both price and conven-

ience. They not only fit her perfectly and make her look wonderful,

but she has insisted that I share mine, promising to get more so we

have just one set of everyday jeans.

All the comments are right on. One of the things I enjoy is the tighter

fit, thanks to the Spandex, and the smaller pockets which are, in some

respects almost useless because if the goal is to make you look slim

and fit, packing a wallet and car keys pretty much ruins the look.

Remember, they are designed with the assumption that the person

wearing them is carrying a purse or handbag.
