Well i work at walmart not the best place in the world but a job, Most the time i got 2-3 days off in a row but now i only get like 1 day and it's killing me, SO... i looking around and found that nowhere in the Dress code rules does it state that males can't wear nail polish... So i am going to wear my nail polish to work starting today.

I am going to wear a nice black nail polish, Not in a goth way or anything i just like dark colors =) Blue, black etc And i have seen some girls wear black nail polish around the store so it should be all good.

If anything i can take it off around Lunch time if they don't agree with me wearing it, But then again i will ask why? and tell them it's nowhere in the dress code or a rule, Hell i could come in with eye liner, eye shadow etc etc and they really can't do anything about it.

I used to work at Walmart shortly after retiring from the Navy. I have seen male employees wear nail polish and nothing was ever said to them but I'm also in CA. I've been have my nails done lately and going to work, and no one has said anything to me, there maybe comments when I not around. Also I work in a male dominate field (water treatment) in a redneck area, but still close enough to the Bay to be tolerant.

I'm pretty sure Walmart has proven trans accepting if you do your job and don't have some kind of "agenda"....

Least from what I know :)

I was full time except at work, for about two years. I would use the Sally Hausen Diamond Coat clear hardner to get my nails to grow out, and it was shiny. To make it work I went to a hobby store and bought 'dull coat, which is used on model planes and model military pieces, and applied it with a bush. I later realized it was the shininess of nail polish that caught peoples attention. Good luck and come back and tell us how it went?

On my lunch =P,

Not one person has said anything... 'well to my face' lol so that's good, I am sure as time goes by and i wear other colors i'll get looks or people may ask me about it but really i don't care as long as i can do it =P, i mean i have heard it all as i been wearing nail polish of all colors openly for many years now

I wear more unusual colors most of the time. It's weird, but people bother me less when my nails are black, purple, blue, or green than if they're more conventional colors like red-orange or salmon pink.

I guess the odd colors let them write me off as a weirdo and leave it at that, while the more normal colors bring up more questions or something.

I just started wearing nail polish at work other than clear. I wear a white that is hard to see unless you look at it from the right angle. Next week I'm going to have a manicure where my nails are going to be polished with 2+ coats of white.

Do you present as "male" at work all the time?

Your Avatar is young looking.....I have to think that nail polish would be a non-issue as many Goth and other "metal heads" wear different nail polish....

Go for it!

I wear "bare to be different" by Sephora. It's a little expensive, but worth it. It's a light pinkish and makes the nail a touch shinny

I get stuff about my nails all the time at work.

That's a hard question really LOL, I don't present as Male or Female more like i just wear/look the way i want even when at work, Like i keep my hair parted to one side and in a pony-tail even at work, But i don't really wear women's clothing But i been thinking about it.... I wear things like a woman's ring and Necklace and i try keeping a clean shaving face, I am not young to most people LOL 29 years old and i'm not really into the goth thing more like i just like dark things

I am thinking about wearing blue tomorrow as my black nail polish got all chipped today and i need to re-paint them :P

I am also pretty sure that several of them are folks who are "trans curious".  Sometimes folks who are trying to find their own identity, are attracted to trans folks or who are simply interested in the trans community.   There may also be some who wish to do us harm which is why ......... I've just learned to smile figuring "i'm on candid camera".   I'm sure many of our younger members never experienced that show so my age is showing.   Hugs,   Charlize

Most of those "guests" are web bots from China, Indonesia, France etc. looking us over. They are mostly benign.  All they can see or gain access to are the general forums.  Members should be careful not to post anything that could readily identify themselves such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. They do not have access to our gallery, blogs or private messenger. They seem to haunt all forums. Not just us. I should add that they can make us known across the internet. That's how prospective members find us. Google would be a good example.

Heck I didn't even know they could go up that high! I just have a four burner and one to keep stuff warm. What kind of pies did you make?

That's all the matters.   Well me and the wife rode to Perkins for breakfast. As we were waiting for our food. Being it is Sunday There are a few gentleman in suits, my guess from church. I think to myself. I hope I never have to wear one of those monkey suits ever again. Now a nice dress maybe.   Hugs,   Kymmie

From time to time I've looked at 'Who Is Online" and I have consistently noticed that members are ALWAYS outnumbered by Guests by a wide margin, sometimes, like a minute ago, by more than a 10:1 margin.  I have never seen that before on an internet forum.  It can be explained partly by the nature of what this is, that it draws the curious and they are certainly welcome to read here, and to join, but it leaves me with a feeling of being in a fishbowl.  I wonder who ARE these people?  Donald Trump, is that you? Biden? Sinwar? Putin?  We can only guess.

So from time to time my brain gets a hold of information and puts it together with other information in weird way that get me thinking. I was reading about a nudes cruise that they are running out if Miami. It got me thinking that a transgendered person who is also a naturalist, has to be one of the most unlucky people alive. How does one manage that and does that ever come up? Not trying to make fun here, just genuinely curious. Things that make you go hmmmm....

No luck there, really. She's getting a signing bonus plus a little extra that I don't think would cover much in the way of the move, but it is something!   Oh my! I am glad to hear you're not passing anymore blood. I hope they figure it out soon! How distressing!   @April Marie @KymmieL @Mirrabooka @Willow @Justine76, thank you for the kind words and thoughts! We told our best friends last night. There were many tears. Now it's all about the work: selling the house (my wife's friend's son said he may want to buy it direct!), a job (a former employee of mine wants to bring me over to his company--and they're based outside of Tacoma!), and moving (just started going through what we don't want bring and donating things). So things have kicked off.   I'm not so sure of the job, it would be good to work with my former employee (he's great) but I fear the culture may not be super welcoming to someone like me--and the guy doesn't know I'm trans in any way. But I'll give it a shot as my authentic self and see what happens!

@LadypcnjI'm sorry. I know the feeling my mom thinks I'm going through a phase too although I didn't come out till April 17, 2023, so it was later in life. I was in denial majority of my life. I would love to hear more about this if you are comfortable sharing more of it.

I love fashion. I have over 100 dresses and 74 pairs of shoes. My walk-in closet is full of other clothes as well. I'm getting more shorts soon. SHEIN is awesome for quality and price. Just when you get a leather coat from them it's just the shell not the liner. Most of my shoes are from Torrid because I wear size 13 women's.

Unfortunately Oklahoma is about as bad as Texas but definitely not as bad as Florida. Especially as a minor!

I'm sorry @Ladypcnj I can only sympathize with you on that. Therapist on the other hand is crazy. I have had 16 in 10 years. It sucks having to have to go over things. I will say though after 6 therapists I didn't have to explain my history they simply read the history.
