Actually the part of my country I live in does not have many Drs. and they are not reputed to be particularly good either. Because we do live in different countries though the sizes and gauges of needles may vary as well as the type of estrogen suspension you are using. Self injecting can be very dangerous if not done correctly and we are not competent to give advise on how to do it. That is the basic reason I referred you back to your Dr. Surely you could call his office and request that a licensed medical practitioner such as a nurse if the Dr. is not available show you how to self inject and at the very least tell you what size of needle is appropriate for the estrogen they have prescribed. We want you to be safe.

Additionally giving information about how to self inject can be used by those who are self medicating and we are forbidden to do that here. General information we can share about it but when we get specific we are getting too close to providing information on how to self-medicate as well as offering medical advise. What size needle you need to use is something your Dr should determine.

Chinee, your pharmacist should also be able to tell you what length and bore needles are available, if its not convenient to ask your doctor, or you don't trust him/her. Johnny is correct, in that needle sizes may differ in different countries, so what we tell you is available in the U.S. may have no relationship to what you can get in the Philippines..

There may not be many doctors there who are familiar with HRT, but your doctors, nurses and pharmacists are not practicing stone age medicine either. I know that because a great many Filipino doctors and nurses come here to practice medicine and do a great job.

Basic questions like how to inject and what to use should be widely known and easily answered by professionals in your community. We are not going to provide, or allow others to provide, a how-to manual on self medicating.

I went to our pharmacy and I found just one size for 1.5inches needle that made me think that there is only one size of 1.5inches available in my place.

That may be the only size available in your area. However, here in the USA we can get needles of various gauge (thickness) for a given length. If you weigh less than 140 pounds a one inch needle should suffice. I use a one inch needle and I'm about 150. And yes, I do inject into my butt.

We do need to reiterate though that Chinee needs to follow her Dr's advise first and not anything that we tell her because the suspension may be different there or her build may be different. We can't contradict medical advise or give it out.

I just had my blood test result earlier and it feels so woow!

For 4 months in HRT, I have now only 0.32 of T and 6.5 of E (my doctor said it is still low and can compare to woman E when their pregnant)

Now my doctor decrease the dosage of my spiro into half but my estradiol valerate dose is still the same. I am just happy with my results yey :)
