Waterproof Chest Binders?

I like swimming so when I start binding I want to still be able to go swimming. I know I'll have to wear a shirt while swimming still but I just wonder is there binders that are waterproof so I can still go swimming and people won't realize that I have the body of a girl?

I think theres like, rash guards or rash shirts or something.

I'd personally go to wherever you got your binder and either search around or send in a customer question thingy.

Hopefully some guys can swing buy and give you actual names :)

Well I haven't started binding yet. Like I've said in previous posts I'm waiting until college and I'm graduating this year so that's why I'm asking now about different types of binders.

There is a ftm swimsuit tank at underworks the 918, Ive never personally tried it but I've heard about it and all. I've also heard if you wash it real well afterwards and what not you can swim in a regular binder.

well if u go to underworks site, you could get the swim tank or any of the binders, you can swim in all of them, the swim tank was just specifically designed for swimming, but they all work

You can use a regular binder but saltwater/chlorine ruins it faster, so I suggest having a specific binder for swimming (which you might have to change after a while) and another one for regular days.

I got the swim binder from underworks, thinking it would work like a binder. It did not at all. I would not recommend spending a dollar on that thing. Its totally uncomfortable and it did nothing but make me look more like a girl than ever before. I think they went overboard with the zipper. My regular binder from them works much better. I started using one that I had that was worn out a little and it actually gives better lines than anything else. I just throw a t shirt on top of it.

I have the Model 1980 from T-kingdom. I've had it 2 years, wearing almost non-stop, although switching it out with another for washing. It's awesome, totally worth the money. It's what I wear when I go swimming. That's right, I don't wear a shirt. Just the binder. It's awesome! It dries pretty quickly, too.

Of course, T-kingdom doesn't work for everyone. But I absolutely love my binder, and they're designed for trans people. Before that, my partner made one for me out of two sports bras sewn together to form a binder. It worked great and I just wore it under a shirt.

I have the swim binder from underworks, and while I've never used it for swimming, it is the only thing I can stand any more. It is easier to get in and out of than any other binder or bra combination I've tried, and far less painful for my back and ribcage. I have a very large chest while the rest of me is quite small, so for most of my life I've had to layer multiple bras/sports bras/tank tops underneath my regular clothes which is extremely complicated and painful. With the swim binder, I almost don't even need a shirt over it and often go without if I'm just hanging out at home. The other binder I got from underworks was much much tighter and made it difficult to breathe, was virtually impossible to get in and out of, and didn't flatten me hardly at all. It was the tri-top--supposedly the best one. It may be great for some people, but all it did for me was make me unhappy and give me a giant uniboob. >.> Also, I'm quite certain it wouldn't survive the chlorine and constant movement of swimming, not to mention how dangerous it would be to try to swim while being so constricted. :/

A rash guard might be enough if you don't have much chest to cover, but they're not designed for flattening, so I'd imagine it would have little effect in that area. Hard to give more in the way of advice without knowing more about your body type, but I hope that helped at least a little. :)
