"Fun" Clothes

So even since I was getting into crossdressing, and before I realized I'm fully female on the inside, I've dreams about owning 'fun' clothes. "Fun" meaning just that- not functional or practical (at least for myself anyway)

Corsets, leotards, ballerina dresses/tutus, really girly/frilly stuff (on the borderline of fetish wear), swimsuits, formal dresses, bridal stuff (though bridal wear will for sure be useful to me in the future), maid outfits, and, don't call me an old lady (though there is nothing wrong with old ladies they rock ), shapewear and older-style underwear (girdles, garter belts, and petticoats galore).

I think my younger desires for those items were fueled heavily by raging hormones that shouted sexual desire that intersected with my desires for being female. So, tight fitting, super sexy, super feminine it was.

Just the other day I was walking through a toy-aisle at a store and though, wow, with the money I'm making these days, I could easily afford these toys I would have loved back when I couldn't make the money. But now, the 'toys' I'm into (video games, computer stuff, nerd stuff) are out of my easy spending range. I wonder if that will happen when I'm even older, too?

Well, it has. Now, I can definitely go wild on the corsets and petticoats. I can try out a rainbow of materials for undies, and maybe some things that do cross into fetish territory... But just like the jumbo packs of Legos (one of my favorite things as a kid- I would have bought every Lego bin they had if i could have as a kid) or plushies of cartoon characters- my money is better spent elsewhere, or saved up for my more expensive current toys (comparing a new computer to breast forms, or at a less extreme level, new video games to new clothes).

BUT WE ALL HAVE TO EMBRACE OUR INNER CHILD SOMETIMES, RIGHT?

So... should I get the more fun clothes? At least for the final knowing, the final, so this is what it is like?

I think input from others is very important on this topic.

When I discovered ebay years ago I found a horse and rider set I had been unfairly (In my opinion anyway) denied as a child for something I hadn't done. I bought it. And I owned it and took it apart and put it together and sat it on a shelf and felt healed in some way. Then after awhile I realized I no longer needed it. I had fulfilled something and was better for it and no longer needed to own that set. So I sold it. (And having taken better pics and cleaned it up got several times what I had paid. It started a new career in fact)

It is healthy to heal that inner child. Some of the old hurt and pain is released and leaves you healthier and freer. As long as you stay within reason I think you should go for it.

For many, many of us there has been a lot of loss and denial of what we longed for in our childhoods. It isn't just okay to get those longed for things-I think it is very healthy.
