She got too much ffs

Now i got nothing against people that want to have alot of surgery to look beautful, but that is simply not my goal. There is a few ways where this can go. The person can have ffs for perfection ( those with a problem), have alot to look beautiful, or to just look like a female. My goal is to wait two years and see what hrt does for me and if it is not enough i might go under the knife for maybe one or two ffs. If i need more then that to just look female then i would go for it, but i doubt it. The only reason i post this topic is to figure out way someone would want more ffs eventhough they look flawlessly female

There were probably a couple of people who are mtf that i saw youtube that look nothing wrong with them. Then a couple of months later they got many surgeries and look horrible. If there was even a remote chance of me looking like a female i would never opt for any surgeries. Perhaps there only looking for perfection. Who knows

It seems to me-just speculation-that the difficulties of our lives leave some of us with a low self esteem and I believe that is what drives some women to go too far with FFS. They want surgery to do what can only come from inside.

Not that men don't have FFS too but like the difference in the general population between the number of men who have surgery to improve their appearance and the number of women I believe it is far fewer. Women are so conditioned by society to base their self worth on appearance while with men it is more about status symbols and behaviors I believe.

You are wise to wait on FFS to see where you are and to not get it unless necessary. That is a healthy outlook I believe.

I was going to get FFS in November but have decided to wait. The hormones are changing my face and I'm afraid if I have surgery, look decent and the hormones change my face more, it may change for the worse.

I'm opting for another surgery first. :)

I've been wrestling with that issue myself. I'm awaiting a e-mail consult with a plastic surgeon just to see what he says, but I've made no decisions.

It's hard to always be satisfied with what we've got. Human nature, I guess. I think you are doing the smart thing by waiting.

I probably will not have any ffs. If I do it will be minor. It is not just transsexuals that can go overboard with surgery. Like mentioned before some people just have such a low self esteem that they can never be happy with how they look no matter how good that is. For some it is a compulsion.

We have a good friend who went in to have some laser facial peeling to clear up some minor old acme scars. Something happened that she had a reaction and ended up with horrible scars all over her face. She has had to have several other surgeries just to get the scaring level down but she will never have the face she once had.

Be very careful in what we do to ourselves.

1. They obviously thought differently. People told me I looked fine before FFS, but it didn't matter. All I knew was the image in the mirror was not right. After FFS it was.

2. Full healing time from FFS can be TWO YEARS. If you saw fresh post-op pics you have to remember swelling and bruising will make it hard to judge the final outcome. I was one of the lucky ones, my bruising was minimal and the change was dramatic almost immediately.

3. There is also the issue of whether they went to an FFS specialist or somebody that just claimed to do FFS. YES, there are plenty of the latter that take advantage of us. People need to do their research before signing up for surgery.

FTR I had my FFS after I had been on HRT for a little less than 2 years.

I agree with you completely Leah! I know for certain that despite what everyone says about me looking fine, when I look in to the mirror, I don't like what I see and I still see the masculine image behind the eyes.

One day I may just be able to afford it :P

Hugs!

I think that if you want surgery and feel it will make you more comfortable then get it. If not then don't. One woman who I think looks great but most people tend to dislike is Amanda Lepore. I met her and she was fantastic.

Absolutely girl. I always tell girls to stick with the hormones first before opting for any type of surgery... Hormones does absolute wonders. You should be on it for at least 8 - 10 years steadily and heavily before seeking ffs. It changed me dramatically ... I still did FFS, but very minimal and very natural looking. a nip, a tuck, and tip here and there. Nothing dramatic....

8-10 years? Are you serious? 2 years is an adequate amount of time to judge HRT changes to your face.

I agree. That does seem like the more accepted time frame. Geez, if I waited 8-10 years at my age, I would be more likely to have my face altered by advanced decrepitude.

I'm much more concerned with GRS so my clothes will fit better, I can go swimming and use the locker room w/o concern. I always feel wary using the lady's and still have 'it' there. I'd like to have a face lift just to tighten the skin but i kinda like the way I look with the masculine/feminine thing going on. I blend in better than I used to (16 months on HRT) and oddly better when I wear less makeup. But I think makeup draws attention then I get clocked but by now I'm over getting all worked up. I will definitely feel more confident chatting up more guys after GRS. (54 days and counting... Dr. Bowers, I presume)

The main problem with plastic surgery is that for many it is addictive - look no further than Michael Jackson and you will see - knowing when to stop is far more important than when to start.

Love ya,

Exactly WAIT till the hormones have taken its fullest effect on your transformation. It truly makes a difference.. ABSOLUTELY does make a difference and you'd be surprised by how naturaly beautiful you are. I eventualy did get some FFS well more like just small enhancements for my ego....

I guess I should've been more specific about the years for transformation. Everyone is different and everyone's body acts differently. As for me It took a good 4 years to really change my look because I was going through puberty .... However, I still stand by the 8 - 10 year scope only because that is my personal belief and preference. I wanted to remain myself as most possible before seeking surgery. I wanted to see what the hormones would enhance etc. then again i come from an old school mentality where my "aunties" instilled in me the value of patience and hormonal magic. AGAIN its just my opinion. And my opinion is based on personal experiences as well as watching friends change as well...... And not to sound rude but there are a lot of "girls" ( not trying to sound rude) who took hormones and went straight for surgery to look like the masses and ended up looking worse than they did in the begining. Again my opinion not trying offend good luck :)

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.
