An outing...

Hello everyone,

I've just joined up with a CDers group here in Australia called the Seahorse Organisation. They are based quite a long way fro where I live but (two states across) they have some social activities on mid and end of year. They are actually having an Xmas party the weekend I fly back from Taiwan so I may plan a stop over. There are many CD friendly hotels in the area and it looks like I'll be in the safe company of many likeminded others. The party is closed and on a boat and I can get a cab to and from the event quite easily.

Now...what to wear....

Ok, this outing is starting to get very real for me now. I have booked a hotel for the night and purchased my ticket for the event. At one of the girls is staying at the same hotel and has agreed to share a cab with me. Now what to wear....

Te prospect of this first outing is getting quite exciting for me now. I can't wait until it happens! I have been trying on some outfits and have narrowed it down to these 3 choices at the moment.

No where near enough clothing for your first convention/party. The CD rules say that you must have a full complete change or clothes for morning, afternoon, dinner, and then clubbing afterward, or nearly 20Kg of luggage just for two days. This is serious young lady!! Hummphh!!

I have been to a couple of conventions where it seemed that that was a full rule. Less than three LARGE roller cases and you were under dressed and would have a miserable time. It was amazing how many bags could come out of small cars.

Really sounds like you will have a wonderful time though as you are doing it.

It's only a 4 hour dinner/party on a boat. Not sure what shape I'd be in to go out afterwards anyways. I will have flown back from Taipei the night before and may be a little sleepy! Not to mention that amount of luggage I want to be lugging around the previous week.

Make the most of the rules Sarah and be sure to take those 3 luggage cases!!

If it was a male drabwear eveningdo you could :

1. Arrive straight from work in T-Shirt and jeans

2. Quick drink in the bar, back to the room, splash your face with water, a few "Parps" in the pan - voila - you're ready for the evening

3. Plenty more drinking, fancy 4 course meal, wiping fingers down trousers when finished, long night of dancing and social mixing with other sweaty people - and straight to bed - or as close as you can get in your drunken state

4. Awake somewhat dazed - quick splash with water on your face - down to breakfast

5. one hour later - all ready to check out and away home

All on one T-Shirt and pair of jeans!!

Do as VickySGV says and go for the 3 luggage cases

Well, in 2 nights I will be out in public for the first time as Sarah. I have all of my clothes ready and am feeling a bit nervous. I will be chaperoned by other CDs so I am sure it should be all ok and safe.

As for the outfit, I prefer the red sweater and denim skirt...mainly because I think the denim skirt is HOT!! You pull off all the outfits nicely. You do look awesome.

Sooooo, tell us how it went that night. We want all the girly details, step by step.
