UP THE DOSAGE! Updates on HRT

Guest Jaded1

So I started HRT about a month and a half ago with my regimen being (no dosages posted so I hope I am fine here) 1 Spiro and 1 Premarin in the morning and 1 spiro at night.

That has been my deal.

Over that period I definately started to notice certain things like a more balanced emotional state, the ability to handle things more calmly without flying off the handle (even for the big stuff).

Physically the first thing I noticed is my scent changed COMPLETELY. I have none. When I sweat, there is moistness but no odor. I kinda like that!

My skin has gotten softer and my body hair (that has regrown since I began HRT as I regularly get rid of it) is coming back a lot more sporadic, less course and lighter in color.

The pores on my face have all but disappeared they have gotten so small.

I was starting to wonder if my chest was sitting this one out, but last week I woke up one morning with a bit of soreness around my nipples. Santa came early. It is completely bearable but there is a continued soreness there and I can feel that my nipple area is seeing some activity.

The only negative effects I have noticed was occasional fatigue and muscle pain from the drop in T and the more frequent need to pee from the effects of spiro.

I am sure it helps that I have been dieting and watching what I eat along with quitting smoking and exercising that I have also lost 41 pounds since June. (I am now at 178 with a target around 155-160.)

SOOOOO..... to get to the title topic, I saw my endo yesterday and after looking at all my bloodwork she said that my T levels are dropping quite nicely (Started at 439 and now at 183) and that my liver is upping the production of the sex binding globulin (about 56)so she sees it ok to up my E (which is still only in high 30's) so she is having me up the dosage on the premarin to one and a half and then 2 a day after two weeks so long as my body can handle it.

She said the chest soreness will get "worse". (It is a happy pain, that I am more than willing to endure.) She did say that you don't want to go too quickly as you can get stretch marks around that area.

All I can say is those little buggers are hard to break in half. LOL.

Congratulations on your progress and the changes you have already noticed..

Though they were exactly the opposite for me-Except the chest thing. Sadly mine is still there-it brought back memories of the early days of being on T. And how happy it made me as well. Of course it still does but it's human nature to take even the miraculous for granted after while until something reminds you as you post did me. Thank you.

May those changes just get better and better and bring you joy.

Hugs

Johnny

Sounds like you are doing a good job with bringing you E up and lowering your T.

I was talking with my Endo last week and she was saying that the E levels are not that important as long as the T levels are kept low enough to let the E do it's thing.

Had my blood work done 3 weeks ago and the T is finally back to """""" 16 """"" again YAY!!! What I was looking for the last 12 yrs or so but didn't know it. 23 months on HRT now and end of this month the Endo dr will add * more Permarin and that is maxed out at *. I can't take any more spiro because my potassium level is at 5 and he won't let me take any more to go over that level. The max is xxx pills and I take xxx and all of them in the AM to help with PTSD that I have had trouble with.

WARNING. To much extreme exercise will raise your "T" level threw the roof if you make a lot of adrenaline. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. My Endo from Boston Medical in Massachusetts is suppose to be doing a study on this so he said. I was 50 at xxx pills and shot up to 636 by exercising to much. He doubled the dosage and I laid back on the exercise a bit now im at 16. Thank God.

I went for my 4.15 mile walk today as I do some times twice a day in 1 hour an 7 minutes. What was so good is that I got those twins to bounce. LOL was a good time. The gene pool in the family doesn't have much for boobs , so what I get is gonna have to be fine. Congratulations and you will get ur dosage upped again in time. Just watch your numbers because you will lose ur HRT if you DON'T. Good Luck.

Breena.

My finasteride is a portion of a pill per day. You can buy a pill cutter for around $5 in pharmacies. It's a lot easier than trying to break them.

Been using the wok on the back deck a lot the last few months.  Just got another stock of udon noodles from Amazon and we are using those in the stir fry with onions, peppers and a spicy peanut sauce.  I did this often in the 90's too, but back then I was just using a standard Coleman camp stove instead of this high BTU wok burner.  I've had the burner for a couple years, but haven't been using it regularly until recently.

I’m a lefty. Learned to be a bit ambidextrous for certain tools that assume right handedness like scissors, but couldn’t write with my right hand to save my life.

Tangent, adjacent, opposite...  It's still rock n' roll to me.  I don't know about the "in god we trust" part of the money, but I like the lady with the scale.  And then I look left at the Indian statue on my mantel of Guanyin feeding a drop of liquid to the dragon at her feet.  In god we trust?  The lady with the scale?  Maybe this is too binary.  And then on the other side of Guanyin is that kind of pelican wood bird that sits two feet tall that I hauled back from South America through the Panama canal.  The beak broke in 1998 and I carefully saved the pieces (as I usually do) and attached them back about a decade ago.  I used a drill to make a small hole and then put a finish nail in there.  Then a hole on those two pieces that needed to be attached.  Upper and Lower beak.  There is still a seam showing.  I could cover that up, but the beak is a bright yellow and well, it's better with all the pieces in place and I don't mind seeing the crack.  I guess that is the tangent and the other two are the opposite and adjacent. -money  Why don't coders always code the "-" action in their search fields?  It's not that difficult!

@April Marie Yes, it's something to shop for at least for 6-8 weeks.

Definitely points to learn and keep in mind.  A bunch of stuff I had put in mental "cold storage" thawed out a bit there and ready again to run through my mill.  As said, a bit long and as usual from her a tad bit challenging.  Overall I see it and can use it as a working hypothesis.

Yeah.  I like Nebula, that was where I watched it.   I posted the YouTube cause I figured more people could see it.

We agree on most of this... and the church/state thing is kind of a tangent anyways. Oops. LOL   I think it has long been established that all different kinds of groups have access to public funds. In my opinion, either everybody has access or nobody does. I would prefer "nobody."   Relying on public funds gives the government the power to take it away, and puts that power in the hands of whatever group controls the government at the moment... the news article that is the topic of this thread shows a clear example of that happening.  Organizations trust government at their peril.

More info on Abigail Thorne here: https://go.nebula.tv/philosophytube and, Dracula's ex-girlfriend, on Philosophy tube.   "The reason why Nebula is so cheap for what it is, is because there's no upper hierarchical group looking yo skim off the top. Imagine how much cheaper EVERYTHING could be if it was like that for every other service or product; if the money went straight to workers, not up a chain of command until it reached someone who did exactly "jack" to produce what's being sold.
