With HRT will I look like I have gynecomastia. Or will I look like I have normal female breasts. Will I look like a guy overweight with man boobs.

I'm in my mid 40's so ymmv your miles may vary everyone is different.

I'm just wondering how others have found things.

Also. I understand the other plumbing will shrink and probably stop working but do I get anything back in return for it's loss. Feeling in the breasts, nipple for pleasure.

I wear breast forms and wonder if I will be able to still wear them while the breasts are growing, or will the pressure and the sensitive nipples make it hurt.

Everybody is different. I have to say that I'm happy with what I've gotten so far. They don't look like moobs. As far as forms, I don't use any. On some days just getting a hug is bad enough (OUCH!) that I wouldn't even want to think about forms.

I love my breasts forms as the size makes me feel normal when I go out socializing or shopping etc.

I guess I might just have to figure our something else to avoid pain yet still look the same in the meantime.

That has me wondering about yet another set of questions.

Is it painful shaving the hair on the sensitive growing breasts and how long until the hair on the chest and stomach change into fine feminine hair?

I am 41 now and have been on hrt for 3 years now. Before I ever started hrt, I had read over and over how if you were past your twentys that you could count on not seeing much of any breast growth from hrt. Well very surprisingly this was not so for me as I am now almost spilling out of a 40 C bra. As far as how sensitive the breats will get. Well when they grow they can and will be sore. This is not a constant pain but more when they go through growth sperts. Also mine (breasts) have became way more sexualy sensitive then I ever thought possible. Many MTF will notice some size loss and funtion. I do belive alot of the funtion loss has to do with having a way less active libido and non exceptence on the thing between there legs. Myself while I have all but lost any and all spontanius and morining erections can still funtion down there if needed. As far as hair on your cheast well personaly never had more then a couple stray hairs there so can not say. The hair on my legs pertty much stopped growing all together(except for a couple stray hairs on knees). But as many here say your milage may vary...

Well, I'll be 2 years on HRT in about 3 weeks.

My body type is naturally slender and lean, and I did not expect much breast growth, especially since I started HRT at age 54 and just recently turned 56. My cup size is now a B+ (measured just last week at Victoria's Secret by three different people there (one measured me as a 38-C; however, I was skeptical about that)). They DO look like actual breasts; however, remember, they go through five stages of development. Google "Tanner Development for Females" and check out Tanner I-V breast and pubic development measurements that doctors use. Unless you're significantly overweight, they will not likely look lik moobs.

Plumbing? Everything works fine; however, I do have issues. The verdict is still out on these. However, HRT may or may not be the culprit with these. YMMV.

Breast forms. Apologies to our fine sponsor; however, I never use them and never will. Padded bras? Nope. Tucking and/or gaffs? Never in a million years. That's just me. Do what works for you!

Finally, B+ is as far as breast size may ever be for me. It IS unusual for older T-gals to have significant development unless they're markedly overweight to begin with. Those who start HRT in their teens and twenties can have breaktaking results! I could post a link here to prove this to you; however, the mods would bum out. Bikinis ... teddies ... au naturel ... you get the idea. However, these T-grils (teens and twenties) are, like, AMAZING! About half have had breast augmentation surgery (implants). The half who did not still look wonderful! Frankly, the ones who get implants tend to go way overboard and end up looking out of proportion and nonaesthetically-pleasing, IMHO.

Go for the gusto, babes, and not to worry!

I have had my breast forms for a number of years, so the size has always made me comfortable when I have stepped out the door.

As far as the breast growth stages tanner stage 1 - stage 5. I got the impression that transgender women got to about tanner stage 3. Or maybe that was just older women over 4o for example.

Doing a google search for tanner stages mtf is a good place to look for info.

Not sure about full time but I could certainly be androgenous until I make up my mind or the breasts are too big. I can go easily as it is blending in. My voice and proportions are okay as it is. Full time would mean wearing a wig, but I've mentioned that many times already.

The one thing constant, dysphoria coming and going. My mood or feeling more depressed lately about being all male when I don't want to be for the rest of my life is depressing. I think if I am in the same spot as I am now in 5 years I don't want to be around.

I'm going to talk to my GT about the referral letter for HRT to see a endocrinologist. I have to move forward. I can't stand still anymore. It is better to move forward than stagnate in doubt and worry. Tired of fighting it.

Welcome to the tractor beam hmmm.

Well I am running out of ideas of how to feel better. I will probably start going on about this other subject once on I get on hrt but I know without hrt hair grows quicker than on hrt, like on the face. That means instead of one days growth for electrolysis it will be say 4 days of growth? Which means less time to be able to go out I am guessing in girl mode, yuk. I'm guessing that is what happens. Plus I read somewhere there is swelling and to have an ice pack after treatment on the upper lip area. I HATE the idea of the pain of electrolysis in the lip area. Laser has been cool, in a non cold way ;)

.

Do not discount breast forms and your development.....

I've been about 3 years HRT and I'm a small "B"

But while having growth spurts and growing pains, breast forms make a wonderful cushion for the girls and protect and cradle the growing boobies...

Try it....

I love 'em!

Breast forms, are you talking about the same thing as I use. I use masectomy type breast forms from the Breastform Store along with a masectomy bra.

I'm talking about the gel type....I bought mine from Joann Fabrics for about $15 and just slip then into a regular bra one size bigger than me....

Works perfectly!

I dumped my pads bout a month ago. After I bent over and it fell out.

I'm 8mths HRT and a full A, and will be a B shortly. I'll be very happy to stop right there.

@April Marie Yes, it's something to shop for at least for 6-8 weeks.

Definitely points to learn and keep in mind.  A bunch of stuff I had put in mental "cold storage" thawed out a bit there and ready again to run through my mill.  As said, a bit long and as usual from her a tad bit challenging.  Overall I see it and can use it as a working hypothesis.

Yeah.  I like Nebula, that was where I watched it.   I posted the YouTube cause I figured more people could see it.

We agree on most of this... and the church/state thing is kind of a tangent anyways. Oops. LOL   I think it has long been established that all different kinds of groups have access to public funds. In my opinion, either everybody has access or nobody does. I would prefer "nobody."   Relying on public funds gives the government the power to take it away, and puts that power in the hands of whatever group controls the government at the moment... the news article that is the topic of this thread shows a clear example of that happening.  Organizations trust government at their peril.

More info on Abigail Thorne here: https://go.nebula.tv/philosophytube and, Dracula's ex-girlfriend, on Philosophy tube.   "The reason why Nebula is so cheap for what it is, is because there's no upper hierarchical group looking yo skim off the top. Imagine how much cheaper EVERYTHING could be if it was like that for every other service or product; if the money went straight to workers, not up a chain of command until it reached someone who did exactly "jack" to produce what's being sold.

I'm aware that the young US ended up fighting a war with these people, and that phrase was not meant to address Church & state.  But somebody was willing to include it at the time.   I am also aware that your family arrangements would not go over well with most christian nationalists.  But that is kinda where I'm coming from on this.  I believe you and others of us with an unconventional lifestyle should be free to live as we desire - as long as we are not hurting anyone else.  And by "hurting" I don't mean only their feelings.   Using christianity to justify oppression is just wrong.  As is forced conversion, or forced conversion therapy.   Regarding public funds, LGBTQetc people have as much right to them as straight-cis folks.  I'm not arguing that queer people have more rights, just equal rights.

Even better news:  It turns out for my sister it was cardio not stroke. She’s put on new blood thinner and sent home. False alarm! Yay.

Things have changed since I've been on HRT for about 15 years. The consequence is I am not so concerned about how I present all the time.  I wear t-shirts a lot. I am pragmatic in how I shop. No, I don't want to look male, but will buy some male clothing because it fits. I am tall and built like a football linebacker, so buying women's clothes that fit can be difficult. For one I have no problem buying men's sneakers if they can pass as unisex. I wear size 12-13 women's shoes. And that can be hard to find. And, I don't like wearing slacks without pockets. I use pockets for work.    I've learned to be pragmatic. I dress up when I want to go out in public, and not so much at work. I do have a favorite blouse that accentuates the girls. And one blue striped blouse where I wear a cami top.

https://www.patheos.com/blogs/danthropology/2016/05/secularists-please-stop-quoting-the-treaty-of-tripoli/   ^^^ an interesting piece about the treaty, written by an atheist.   I totally understand why the Christian nationalist stuff makes people uncomfortable. For me, it is uncomfortable in a different way, as modern Christian nationalism is not nearly as "generic" as the views of the Founders.  Its specifically Evangelical.  I'm in a plural marriage, so definitely not approved of.    I believe the intent of the Founders was to uhold generic Christian ideas... "in God we trust" and "there's a God who created the world and He wrote ten commandments for us" sort of stuff.  Nothing beyond that, nothing specific enough to use against folks.

Free?!?!  That's insane.  I can understand perhaps mistaking somebody's well equipped garage as a business, but demanding free work is ridiculous.   My GF once remarked that while few things in life are free, butt-kickings are an exception. She offers those free-of-charge, to any who ask. A little charity helps the world go round 🤣
