and glad to be back. smile.gif

Hey Cowboy!

You're back!

So really Colton, why haven't you called, where have you been, what's going on?

There if that doesn't kill a thread I have no more ideas.

I've tried the wooden stake, silver bullets, holy water, Wolf-bane, garlic and even putting salt in the mouth and stitching it shut (in case it really was a zombie thread) - I know of nothing else to try..............

OK, I might just have it...I am so lonely won't someone talk to me?

*sounds of crickets*

That just might have done it.

Sally

Jeez woman! I dont even get both feet in the door and you're already pilin' on the 21 questions! lol

Ok, lets see if i can get all these answered...

umm.. i havent called because i havent been at my house since friday. no internet.

last week i took a few days off from everything and just kinda went MIA. i was in a fightin mood all last week and didnt wanna take it out on the wrong people (sarcasm: thanks bi-polar disorder rolleyes.gif)

and nothin is really different in life. lol. still tryin to get a job and have to meet my commanding officer from the Auxiliary tomorrow to turn in application papers. goin to a football game saturday. (my friend's son plays and he's 9. like a lil bro to me so im gonna go cheer him on)

..THERE! think i got it all. lol. and hey, dont feel lonely! im back!!

I have a confession to make. I kill threads. I'm so sorry.

I don't know why, but it seems anytime I write a post that I'm REALLY proud of, and can't wait to hear response and opinion about it, my post just ends up ending the thread. :(

Am I that blatant or shocking that people don't know what to say to me? I want feedback people!!LOL

I am coming in late on this thread but just wanted to say I too have noticed this with some of my posts. And I too wait for a response but the thread just fades away to the next page and next page. Maybe we should start a support group for thread killers...lol...Huggsss

Awww,

He is so cute and a bit creepy.

I could make a comparison to a young man in a cowboy hat but then he isn't creepy at all.

Love ya,

Sally

lol no that comparision would have to go something like "Awww he is so cute and charming." laugh.gifbiggrin.gif

and Nikki how in the world do you love a furby?!

I had one and it was possessed... just like the other 10 million they made.

True Story: My lil cousins had one, and i was staying the night at their house, and my aunt had to take the batteries out of the furby cause it kept wakin up wantin to take over the world. so she took the batteries out, shoved it down to the bottom of the toy box, and we still woke up hearin the dang thang flag it wings and blink and yell "FUUURRRR BEEEEE" at 2 in the morning.

If anything is evil, it is a furby. lol.

I'm killin this thread with a rant.

Saturday i was at my lil dude's football game (he's 9 and pretty much the kid brother i never had).

His friend, ya know, the kinda kid you really wanna smack cause ya know they need it, but ya know ya cant smack em...

anyway, he was sittin by me up in the bleachers, and out of nowhere looks at me and ask the one question ive came to hate: "Are you a BOY??"

dry.gifrolleyes.gifmad.gifbanghead.gif

So, i replied the same way i always do.. the "i really wanna smack you right now, and i should, but i wont because i pity your ignorance" look, and with a strong sarcastic tone the same "Are you a BOY??" back.

Next time... i think im just gonna smile and simply say yes.

There's prob some formula to figure out how likely your post will be to get a response. Like Pi times your posts per day divided by the square of your total post count. And the formula only works if there are no references to fluffy bunnies in the post.

Kim

lol!

erm I didn't read all the replies haha but... I feel the same way sometimes. Like, "did I say something that no one gives two craps about?" or thinking it's trivial and I should post things that are more "important."

Sometimes it seems that things take on a life of their own - this was started as a joking observation that some posts do not get a lot of responses and just look what has happened.

It has become one of the busiest topics in the forums - just shows how much we need an occasional break from being so serious - it is therapeutic for all of us.

So thank you to Kelise for giving us just the right release and a great time as well.

Long Live The Indestructible Thread!

Love ya,

Sally

Hello we are The lake. So called because This One has not determined a name for oneself but has in a way created an environment to try out multiple names as different people. Currently Some of us use she/her pronouns and one uses he/him. We hope to learn more about being transgender and the intricacies involved. Once again it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance and we hope to be of further help in the future.

https://www.nbcnews.com/nbc-out/out-politics-and-policy/18-states-sue-biden-administration-transgender-worker-protections-rcna152239     When the R's are in power they love having the EEOC promulgate rules favoring employers.  But when the D's are in power, they just hate it when the EEOC makes or enforces rules that favor employee rights; most especially trans employee rights.  Then it becomes "government overreach."  Funny how that works out.    Carolyn Marie

Wholeheartedly agree.  Whether a compliment is backhand or forehand, I take it gladly.  They are offered rarely enough these days.    Carolyn Marie

Wow, a shop that actually respects a customer's truck?  That seems like a miracle!  My husband does most of his own work, because he really, REALLY hates people who mess with an interior, with grease spots or footprints.  His personal truck is old, but super clean.  And since he's the transportation manager for his company, he's pretty picky about people respecting company equipment.  "Take care of it, and it will take care of you" is the motto.  Drivers should be able to go through a DOT Level 1 inspection without worry.

Literally the word means "hatred of women" and so I don't think that's quite the right description for what you encountered.  Possibly chauvinism?  Or maybe just not wanting to bother somebody he figured wasn't interested or capable of doing the job?  Who knows.   But on the other hand...be glad you're passing

Finally found a site that gives the definition of defemination as a process of loss of feminine characteristics or continued loss of them.  Not a word I would use every day, although I can see where it would be a problem for some who value those feminine characteristics.  Yes I have seen it happen and now get the idea, and yes, not in so many words, but yes I have been up against others who do put down my femininity as being a pseudo female at the most polite and I cannot use the words hear for what it is at the worst.   Online, there is little to do about it except leave and block the people who do it and the places it happens, since it affects you much more heavily and negatively than it does the person doing it, and you need freedom from the stress.  The rules here which our "powers that be", namely the staff say we do not put up with members denying the authentic identity of other members.
