The awkward question about 6 inches...

I just don't get it: is six to six and one half inches of depth sufficient for intercourse?

I wont claim to be a world authority on the physiology of the vagina, or of gender affirmation surgery (SRS?).

But, a genetic woman's vagina is on average, 4 or 5 inches deep, maybe a little more when aroused. Of course the whole organ is somewhat stretchy so it can accommodate a penis somewhat longer.

So I would think a (not sure of the medical term) vagina fashioned through SRS with 6 inch depth would be perfectly scientific and very comparable to a GG's organ,

According to statistics gathered by the medical authorities, the average construct penis length for American adult males is 5.5 or 6 inches. Obviously some are smaller and some larger than the average number. But, unless ones partner was a statistical outlier of 8 inches or more, I wouldn't think there would be any issues.

I expect someone with some actual first hand knowledge will respond tho. I'm "just" a CD'er so my knowledge of the medical details of transition are a bit hazy,

Has anyone ever wondered why say a FTM and MTF couldn't trade those parts? Surgery to alter vs. surgery to switch two body parts of two people? Is it because of tissue rejection?

I think tissue rejection would be one possible issue.

but also, the plumbing and nerve connections associated with the penis are really complicated. Likewise for the female parts. I think it would just be really difficult technically for a surgeon to make it all work.

Yeah that would be rightly difficult.

I figured they've gotten past tissue rejection in the past, so maybe its not the issue. It just seems like humankind will forever be plagued by body altering procedures, it seems to be a very important topic to everyone.

^And I wouldn't want to have any surgically unwanted leaks due to 'faulty plumbing'! Ouch?

I don't think any trans guy would want my bits after the lengths I've gone to tuck them I suppose you've also got to remember that to get that far most people would've been taking hormone treatments for a year at the least. so the male part would have atrophied and the female one would have changed in ways that are equally non-desirable. And finally, now I come to think of it, I'm not sure I want what someone else had attached to them for however many years, especially if they hated it with a passion enough to pay a lot of money to get it removed. Then there's all the practical difficulties like KayJo said...

Back on topic; I think the surgeon will generally have a look at what you've got and tell you how much depth they think they can give you, whether it'll be sufficient or if you'll need a skin graft for extra depth. That's my perception of it anyway.

It wouldn't be that hard, actually. You just remove all of the internal tissue along with some of the external tissue. We can do face transplants now. Genital transplants are probably not too far away, especially with more advances in medicine. Using stem cells to grow genitals would be even better.

I had 6" before surgery and I have 5.5 inches of depth after surgery. Intercourse feels wonderful and I am orgasmic. My man loves my vagina and can't stay away.
