Guest A Girl

FFS - Dr. Spiegle, Boston Med. Pioneered many of the current FFS tecniques. Have already consulted with, setting up my finances to do so as soon as possible.

SRS, GRS, Whatever - Dr. Marci Bowers, Trinidad, Colorado. One of the most gifted, if not the most gifted surgeon in this area of medicine. And a t-girl herself to boot!!! This girl does it right the first time.

Dr Marci Bowers, Trinidad, Colorado. Shes one of the leading surgeons in GRS/SRS and shes also been through the transition herself.

Not sure about FFS I got many years to decide both  so I aren't really in any rush but I would like someone professional and I think everyone else would =D

Hi,

This is something i have been contemplating for quite some time.

My SRS,GAS...i have narrowed it down to Dr.Chetawutt or Dr.Preecha in Thailad...cost effective.

I will also opt for the Tracheal Shave...possibly Breast Augmentation during the same visit.

Due to the pain involved,it isn't recommended by other girls...But once again it will be cost effective.

FFS...Rhinoplasty,Forehead Shave and Lift, maybe Chin Implant...when and if i can afford these

other proceedures.

Angie.

If I could have any surgeons.....

Top: Dr. Garramone in Florida

Bottom: Dr. Meltzer in Arizona

But I am likely headed to Thailand for a dual surgery that will remove my breasts and my uterus and ovaries at the same time. However I can't find anyone who has been to the NEO Plastic surgery clinic. http://thailandplasticsurgery.com/ I already posted about this somewhere else...

I have done loads of research about Dr Suporn in Thailand and his SRS technique and I will now be going there as soon as I can and I have enough money. I am going to have breast augmentation which I already can afford and FFS unsure I more than likely will but the most important to me is SRS.

FFS - Dr. Ousterhout in san francisco (probably just tracheal shave and brow reconstruction, enough to pass. I'll do all the other ffs after SRS.)

SRS - Dr. Kamul in thailand

I have no clue what doctors I would have. Competant, but not too expensive. I am going to get top surgery, and would like bottom surgery but all methods currently available are unaffordable and unsatisfactory, so I am not sure.

Top Surgery - Dr. Michael Brownstein in San Francisco, California

Total Hysterectomy/Vaginectomy - Dr. Toby Meltzer in Scottsdale, Arizona*

Phalloplasty MLD Flap/SRS - Dr. Perovic in Belgrade, Serbia

If I can arrange it, I might combine the vaginectomy and the phalloplasty with Dr. Perovic, but most likely I would prefer to do both the total hysterectomy and vaginectomy within the same surgery on an earlier date.

*Toby Meltzer (and his associates) is well-known and considered skilled within his techniques. One of his associates performs the total hysterectomy/vaginectomy procedure. I may decide to get my chest surgery with Dr. Meltzer as well.

Top surgery! I want it so bad! From looking at pics online and such, I think I'd go with Dr. Michael Brownstein.

I'm still kinda undecided on bottom surgery.

Top - Probably Dr. Beverly Fischer in MD. Looking though photos, she seems to have some of the best results with keyhole/peri-areola surgeries.

Not planning any other surgeries for now.

i would have the srs right away. i would wait for any breast surgery until i've been on hrt for the recommended time. i don't think i would be in any hurry for ffs although i'd seriously consider it. i do have one question though. if for example the male member is 8 1/2" before surgery, does that mean the depth of the vagina will be 81/2"? i noticed that different women have different depth's. just curious.

thanks,

sheila

I don't know how long you've been on HRT, but things have a tendency to shrink over time. But in general the more donor material you have before means better depth after.

i should have made it clear i wasn't talking about me and was just using that size for an example. maybe i should have said 3". that would mean a depth of less than 3"? at this time i'm not on hrt. i thought that now that i know what i want to do with my life that this place would be a good start. everyone here is way ahead of me in their journey that i sorta feel like an outsider, not part of the community. i've been alone all my life and i'm used to it. i apologize if i'm out of line and don't mean no harm. i was curious though, that's all.

3"=3"? More or less. But that's where skin grafts come in. If the surgeon doesn't have enough donor material they will get extra skin from the upper leg or lower abdomen so they can give you adequate depth.

after sudying the situation, i would chose Dr. Marci Bowers. she would be my only choice. yes, i would have ffs. i've seen some of the result's and am quite impressed. don't have to think twice about the breast augumentation. i would wait until the homones have run their course as i see this is the proper proceedure. yeah. srs eve, the night before i'm finally a real woman.

that would give me depth, but would a skin graft from the thigh or other area hinder sensation?, i'm curious

Hi, Amanda.  Your story sounds quite familiar, though my pesky body part didn't need the attention of a urologist.  You are in good company here!

Oops.  Sorry, @AmandaJoy, I see you have already posted an introduction.

Hi, @AmandaJoy.  Welcome to Trans Pulse.  Be sure to check out the various forums and join in any threads that interest you.  We'd love to read all about you in the Introductions forum.   -----   I started programming in Dartmouth Basic in high school back in the early 1970s.  I did my degree in Computer Science.  After a brief stint in the "government flying club" (RCAF), I worked as a programmer-analyst and systems analyst for about 25 years.    I am retired now, but I still enjoy programming.  I write a lot of the code for my astrophotography observatory.

WOW HAS IT BEEN A WHILE SINCE I'VE UPDATED!!! Welp, I'm updating now, and it's been a lot of changes.  1. My mom is starting to come around a little (I think). She does refer to me more as her child now, and even offered to help me cut my hair so I think we're making a little progress. I'm still planning on going on T later and I'm gonna start saving up to buy trans tape (I can't wear binders because I have GERD), so hopefully the progress stays. My dad, sibling, friends, and my paternal grandparents have all been super supportive and I'm really lucky for that. My sibling also goes out of their way to introduce me as their brother and it makes me so happy :D 2. I've been socializing a lot more! Mostly on Discord, but I've made some new friends and I'm really happy about that!  3. I'm on birth control! I still need to go to the gyno but my GP got me on the depo shot and it's been working for me so far! My dysphoria has gone through a lot of ups and downs, especially around periods, but that source is pretty much gone now and I feel way better. I do have more dysphoria centered around my chest now but that's pretty easily fixed with baggy shirts most of the time.  4. I know 100% now that I'm hoping for a uterine ablation (cauterizing the uterine tissue so it doesn't grow) at some point in the future and it's likely something I'll have to save up for but from my research it's a lot less invasive and safer than a hysterectomy so I definitely recommend it if people are able to access it. I also know that after that, I want to save up for a reduction to combat the chest dysphoria, and I still like having it sometimes so I'll keep a bit of it (I'm shooting for an A cup, I'm a C cup currently).  5. I've been writing more and I've even got some ideas for art projects! I also got an Archive of Our Own account where I post my finished writing, and I'm starting a book project at my mom's urging (she said she wanted that as her Christmas present so I'm gonna try, might not get it done this year though). I haven't gotten to write much lately but I'm hoping to change that this month.  And finally, 6. I'm gonna be a college junior and I have a career path to pursue! I'm gonna be an archivist, hopefully working for a museum (not too specific on where, I just like museums).  So yeah, a lot of stuff has happened and it's been pretty good!

Around here, a culturally-appropriate gender-neutral form of address is either "dear" or "hun".  It tends to be mostly women who use those, though I did have a man address me as "dear" in a store today.    It could be startling for a come-ffrom-away to hear themselves being addressed that way, but, locally, it is considered a friendly, not particularly creepy, gender-neutral way to address someone.
