Gah! I just got used to one schedule....

At the best of times, I'm not very good at remembering to take meds. When I first started HRT, I opted for a morning schedule, but I soon realized that wouldn't work, since I often didn't even see the mornings on my days off....So I switched to 6pm, and that worked for a day or two, then I realized I was just getting home or was not yet home at that time, so that tended to throw me off by a bit. Soooo, I finally settled on 8pm to take them, and that worked. I still forget now and then and end up off by 30 minutes or so, but no big deal.

Anyway....that worked for me now for months, no major issues....BUT....my last endo appointment saw, not only an increase in my dose...BUT also a SPLIT in my dose. I now have to take half my spiro in the am. So now I'm back to having all those original problems over again. *sigh*

I'm whining about this now because I just realized I forgot to take it...again. I also forgot to take my symbicort....so that has been corrected, but I'm off by over an hour on both.

I need, like, a medication beeper...or like, someone else to worry about it for me. Everyone should know by now that I'm irresponsible!!!

But loveable all the same Shilo!

I'd suggest setting a daily alarm for your phone to go off twice a day as a reminder but if you are anything like me you'll forget the phone. I now have no trouble remembering the meds I have to take a half hour before eating every morning because I trained the cats that I would feed them a treat at 6 every morning. I keep the treat bottle next to the meds. I may forget but the cats never do!

Now if I could just convince then that getting me up a half hour early won't mean earlier treats and what Saturday and Sunday mornings are all about! Oh, well. At least I remember the meds now.

Hope you find something that works for you too

Hugs

I would do that if I had a mobile, Johnny, but I don't and don't want one. A cat, on the other hand....Yes, yes, I think that would be good. I'll need two cat's of course...one for the morning dose and one for the evening dose....

Kitties!!!!

I know an excuse to get extra kitties when I hear one Shilo :)

Cats can be programmed to remind you to feed then an infinite number of times I suspect. I have to be careful not to program them in fact. When I open the drawer the med and treats are in at any time they can hear it from the other end of the house 4 rooms away while sound asleep and make it back before I can sneak the drawer closed. So I carefully plan what I'm going to need for the day and take it out at 6 am too. Sigh. never said it was a perfect plan

:D

Couldn't resist adding a pic of ome of my alarms-T'Pring

Good morning from the backyard patio,   Parker and I are outside enjoying the morning sounds of the day. It’s was filled with the beautiful sounds of birds, bugs and kids off at a distant playground. My coffee was hot, strong and black. This came crashing down as the Monday morning trash truck came into the neighborhood. We’re the first neighborhood for the trash route since a city ordinance keeps all commercial workers limited to a 07:00 start time. It was Parker’s first time experiencing this noise and physical vibrations as the operator slammed the articulated arm around picking up individual trash bins. Parker ran from the fence back to the patio swing looking back at the monstrous truck causing such a commotion. His head tilted, ears perked, and body language indicating curiosity.    My second cup of coffee is settling down as the birds return to singing their calls, and Parker ravages his toy rabbit.    Hugs and best wishes as you take on the week. Good morning @Adrianna Danielle   I’m glad you agreed to the paternity test.    My Uncle found himself in a similar situation and after the test he was faced with explaining his infidelity and one night stand to his wife and family. Not only did the test come back; “YOU ARE THE FATHER” she looked like a sister to the other children in his family. This was a “23 & Me” moment confirmed by an independent test. The most important reason for the young lady to search for her father, was medical history and peace of mind. The blessing of the test was her understanding and willingness to disappear into obscurity. That was not what my Uncle or his family wanted to happen. She was family and they wanted to know her and eventually love her as a family member. The next 4th of July family gathering, she was introduced to the rest of her extended family and I gained a cousin. My prayers for you as you navigate all the possibilities, and I hope it works out for everyone involved.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well I’m short on time again!   I had to move to the couch around 3:15 this morning. Unfortunately my wife’s med vac was making a lot of noise which woke me up and I couldn’t sleep. Then I over slept because my alarm wasn’t set correctly, my fault.    @Mirrabooka Hobart is a beautiful city and Tasmania is a wonderful place to visit. I was there several times in the 80s.    @Birdie Texas isn’t the only state with such laws.  Don’t try going to a public bathroom in Florida either. Now there laws aren’t based on chromosomes or anything like that but it’s a birth certificate as far as I know.  That Texas law is a tough one, really anti transgender in all respects. Except!  What if you have an extra chromosome?  Or DNA that’s flipped?  Did they think of that situation?  Medical theory suggests that is the case when it come to Transgender people, but especially the young ones.  Also, IQ, that tends to be higher than average.  There are a lot of things about us the medical science is studying, not just psychology.   got to go   Willow

Two unusual conbinations: Jackson Brown was accompanist for Nico of The Velvet Undarground & Nico fame. David Gates of Bread fame played with Captain Beefheart.

I started estrogen (oral) a little before age 50 and not the maximum dose either and also no blockers. It almost immediately accentuated the feminine features I already had, and expanded my already soft areas of skin, widened my hips and distributed more fat to my thighs and increased my breast size. There seem to be some subtle changes to my face too though I doubt I am any more passable than I was a decade ago, it’s just nice to not use breast forms anymore. I haven’t switched to injections as planned and there really hasn’t been much change after the first 6 months and my body fights back; my E levels dropped and T increased even on the same dose so it has not really done much for me. It sounds like injections are the far better way to go, plus progesterone after a while if the doctor will prescribe that.    As is often said, everyone is unique and one’s mileage may vary, and what works for one person may not for another.
