I Passed! :d

So I went to Disneyland's Gay Days with two of my friends, and it was my first time out in public when I didn't look like a girl. I introduced myself to my one friend's parents (who'd never met me) as Cody, and although my other friend started laughing, they didn't seem surprised to hear a guys' name... and his dad did hold out his hand to shake mine before asking my name, which is a good sign, right?

I think they probably got a little bit suspicious later on, with how my female friend was calling me by my birth name and using female pronouns like nonstop. Their son was really good with my name, and granted he hadn't known me by my real name more than like two weeks, but it was still nice to have him always call me Cody. I didn't really talk to anyone outside of our group while his parents were there, so I wasn't sure how I was passing. I was also kind of not feeling great early on, because I have really big you-knows, and the compression needed to bind and the resultant pain combined with the constant reminder that they existed were making me kind of suicidal lol. I hadn't worn anything more than like an hour, just for practice, so the 10ish hours of it were kind of difficult.

but anyways, that night, after his parents left, we went on this one ride, and the pathway to get out was soo long that one of my friends and I (both wearing gay day shirts) just hopped over the little waist high fence instead of walking.

The guy behind us said, "i hope they fall and break their gay asses," which my other friend heard, apparently as did the kids in front of us in line, because they came up and said so after he'd escaped from us, and so we started talking to them.

Long story short, after we'd talked a bit, so they'd even heard my voice, the boy referred to me as "he" "him" and "the guy" (in relating how they'd seen us around earlier), and completely regarded me as a boy :D

I'd used the mens' room successfully earlier in the day, but hearing someone actually refer to me as a guy, consistently, without appearing at all suspicious, was really cool. Not to mention a nice relief from my friend's "don't get mad at me, it's hard to remember" excuse for why she couldn't ever call me Cody, and never even realized when she messed up. He did say I looked about 15, but I'm cool with people thinking I'm younger than I am (18 in a few weeks) lol.

It's kind of a letdown now to go back to normal society where everyone knows me as female. :P

Congrats Cody on passing. Woot! Is a great feeling when we are recognized and acknowledge for who we really are. :D

The best thing to do is just be confident with yourself. I myself sometimes get lady or whatnot and my gf just says "just let it go". I am so glad your experience was successful. :)

lol thanks guys... it was really great. I was kind of surprised actually, because I'd always had this feeling like if I were going to pass I would have to act, and try and pretend I was a guy (that's terrible wording, so I hope you understand what I mean), but I was just myself all day and it worked perfectly fine. Which of course, it should. But it was still cool to see it in action. And I'll take the pain in exchange for the male pronouns :D

ironically though, I've gotten he'd and guy'd (i may possibly be making up contractions here) recently when I wasn't even binding. They were pretty innocuous events, where I doubt anyone else noticed... and I was kind of suspicious because it's prettty fricking obvious w/my *euphemism*s, but I'm not going to complain lol.

Yeah, this happens to me, too. In fact, not too long ago, not only was I not binding, but I was wearing a women's cut shirt (darn parents), and I still passed. I think if you're giving off enough masculine cues, people don't really pay too much attention to your chest unless it's really, really obvious, like if you were wearing a tank top or something. Anyways, it's awesome that things are going so well for you. :)

Heck I didn't even know they could go up that high! I just have a four burner and one to keep stuff warm. What kind of pies did you make?

I'm sure you'd rock it, girl!

That's all the matters.   Well me and the wife rode to Perkins for breakfast. As we were waiting for our food. Being it is Sunday There are a few gentleman in suits, my guess from church. I think to myself. I hope I never have to wear one of those monkey suits ever again. Now a nice dress maybe.   Hugs,   Kymmie

From time to time I've looked at 'Who Is Online" and I have consistently noticed that members are ALWAYS outnumbered by Guests by a wide margin, sometimes, like a minute ago, by more than a 10:1 margin.  I have never seen that before on an internet forum.  It can be explained partly by the nature of what this is, that it draws the curious and they are certainly welcome to read here, and to join, but it leaves me with a feeling of being in a fishbowl.  I wonder who ARE these people?  Donald Trump, is that you? Biden? Sinwar? Putin?  We can only guess.

So from time to time my brain gets a hold of information and puts it together with other information in weird way that get me thinking. I was reading about a nudes cruise that they are running out if Miami. It got me thinking that a transgendered person who is also a naturalist, has to be one of the most unlucky people alive. How does one manage that and does that ever come up? Not trying to make fun here, just genuinely curious. Things that make you go hmmmm....

No luck there, really. She's getting a signing bonus plus a little extra that I don't think would cover much in the way of the move, but it is something!   Oh my! I am glad to hear you're not passing anymore blood. I hope they figure it out soon! How distressing!   @April Marie @KymmieL @Mirrabooka @Willow @Justine76, thank you for the kind words and thoughts! We told our best friends last night. There were many tears. Now it's all about the work: selling the house (my wife's friend's son said he may want to buy it direct!), a job (a former employee of mine wants to bring me over to his company--and they're based outside of Tacoma!), and moving (just started going through what we don't want bring and donating things). So things have kicked off.   I'm not so sure of the job, it would be good to work with my former employee (he's great) but I fear the culture may not be super welcoming to someone like me--and the guy doesn't know I'm trans in any way. But I'll give it a shot as my authentic self and see what happens!

@LadypcnjI'm sorry. I know the feeling my mom thinks I'm going through a phase too although I didn't come out till April 17, 2023, so it was later in life. I was in denial majority of my life. I would love to hear more about this if you are comfortable sharing more of it.

I love fashion. I have over 100 dresses and 74 pairs of shoes. My walk-in closet is full of other clothes as well. I'm getting more shorts soon. SHEIN is awesome for quality and price. Just when you get a leather coat from them it's just the shell not the liner. Most of my shoes are from Torrid because I wear size 13 women's.

Unfortunately Oklahoma is about as bad as Texas but definitely not as bad as Florida. Especially as a minor!

I'm sorry @Ladypcnj I can only sympathize with you on that. Therapist on the other hand is crazy. I have had 16 in 10 years. It sucks having to have to go over things. I will say though after 6 therapists I didn't have to explain my history they simply read the history.

I followed you and will give you my advice when I can. It has happened to me a lot too. If you want to you can always message me and I'll get back to you ASAP. I understand your concerns.

I don't use it.   One of my daughters gave me a little to experiment with, but I haven't.  My youngest tried to put some on me once, but I din't like it.  The light was pretty bad admittedly. My ex didn't use it, and my daughters didn't use it much either when they were still at home.  (If so it was very subtle) And I don't often notice it on women my age (mid 70's)   I shave every day.  But my beard is not heavy, and essentially grey, so it's not real noticeable unless you get close with good light.  I was starting to look into electrolysis, but the pandemic hit, and I just kinda dropped it.   Sometimes I do wonder about it though.
