Mine's my beige corduroy skirt, blue silk blouse and a pair of flats. For jewelry, a pair of white gold, diamond and sapphire rings, earrings and pendant I made from dichroic glass. :)

I have arthritis in my feet and can't wear heels anymore. :(

I have a dark royal blue dress that I just feel like a princess in! Though I need to manage to get my makeup to match and look like less of a drag queen!

Anything that could potentially get me arrested!! JK By now I have too many outfits to have a favorite, but I love cashmere sweaters in the winter here with any of my long skirts that match them, and short flat boots due to my diabetes.

i have picked up a pretty large wardrobe of high quality New To Me clothing at the local GW's and SA's. I absolutely love any simply patterned floral skirt,, below the knee and flowing; colors are mostly white/light in the background with simple floral patterns. Blouse/tops should be feminine soft and picking up a minor color of the skirt. Could be coral, leaf green, perhaps tan or brown, lavender. makeup, of course would tie together in colors and appropriate jewelry. If a good accessorizing necklace and earrings are not in the jewlery collection yet, gold or gold tone large hoops or danglies and a gold necklace are the default jewelry... though I must admit I like silver earrings and necklace with bright red tops. Also, in looking at picture of pretty redheads, I was amazed that purple looked so good, so now thats in the wardrobe too. :)

Who would have guessed five years ago I would love browsing the racks, along with the other ladies.

Hugs,

Michelle

My TOP favorite outfit is nice & simple, an example would be sweatpants with a simple t-shirt... :)

Hard to say what my favorite is, but I really like something that may be considered old fashioned but is really timeless. The 1950's shirt dress, which is what you saw housewives wearing on old 1950's TV shows.Very comfortable and versitle. When you see old illustrations of the various varieties with their beautiful full skirts, simple, comfortable yet very feminine, your mouth waters.Too bad a large assortmentof styles and colors, etc aren't available today.

A pink striped ladies Western shirt with shiny pink buttons, a lacy

camisole for a layered effect, a necklace with a silver heart, a

ladies watch, light blue skinny jeans with fancy embroidery on the

rear pockets, and matching sandals with an ankle bracelet.

i must say that even though i dont own any yet, i have two favorit outfits neither of which cassual. my first one would be a light pink flowing disney princess style dress that is just poofed out with petticoats. add to that some light pink tights and silver heels i would feel so beautifull. my second one would be a pink leotard with a 6 inch pancake tutu. add to that a pair of toe shoes and light pink tights i would feel so full of joy i would want to do nothing but dance.

Favorite "dressy" outfit is my black shirtdress with purple leggings and black mid-calf 2" heel boots.

Favorite "casual" outfit is my purple peasant blouse (with black bra and tank straps showing ;) ), skinny jeans, and black mid-calf flat boots.

Not really a fav outfit so much as fav pieces that i can build several outfits from

basic tanks in black, white. both lace hem and reg since it is nice to have some lace peeking out from under sweaters or long tops.

Colored tanks for layering.

My new cashmere cowl neck sweater in taupe

my 7 for all mankind bootcut jeans in new york dark

tights, basic blacks to patterned cause tights are amazing in the fall.

my BCBG ankle boots, or my aldo boots mid heel (not in gallery yet) or my newest Geox flat boots in black (also not in gallery yet)

my green wool knee length skirt from Tahari

missing a good neutral everyday purse and i actually have no womens coat at all and it is getting colder out :(

Hi, Amanda.  Your story sounds quite familiar, though my pesky body part didn't need the attention of a urologist.  You are in good company here!

Oops.  Sorry, @AmandaJoy, I see you have already posted an introduction.

Hi, @AmandaJoy.  Welcome to Trans Pulse.  Be sure to check out the various forums and join in any threads that interest you.  We'd love to read all about you in the Introductions forum.   -----   I started programming in Dartmouth Basic in high school back in the early 1970s.  I did my degree in Computer Science.  After a brief stint in the "government flying club" (RCAF), I worked as a programmer-analyst and systems analyst for about 25 years.    I am retired now, but I still enjoy programming.  I write a lot of the code for my astrophotography observatory.

WOW HAS IT BEEN A WHILE SINCE I'VE UPDATED!!! Welp, I'm updating now, and it's been a lot of changes.  1. My mom is starting to come around a little (I think). She does refer to me more as her child now, and even offered to help me cut my hair so I think we're making a little progress. I'm still planning on going on T later and I'm gonna start saving up to buy trans tape (I can't wear binders because I have GERD), so hopefully the progress stays. My dad, sibling, friends, and my paternal grandparents have all been super supportive and I'm really lucky for that. My sibling also goes out of their way to introduce me as their brother and it makes me so happy :D 2. I've been socializing a lot more! Mostly on Discord, but I've made some new friends and I'm really happy about that!  3. I'm on birth control! I still need to go to the gyno but my GP got me on the depo shot and it's been working for me so far! My dysphoria has gone through a lot of ups and downs, especially around periods, but that source is pretty much gone now and I feel way better. I do have more dysphoria centered around my chest now but that's pretty easily fixed with baggy shirts most of the time.  4. I know 100% now that I'm hoping for a uterine ablation (cauterizing the uterine tissue so it doesn't grow) at some point in the future and it's likely something I'll have to save up for but from my research it's a lot less invasive and safer than a hysterectomy so I definitely recommend it if people are able to access it. I also know that after that, I want to save up for a reduction to combat the chest dysphoria, and I still like having it sometimes so I'll keep a bit of it (I'm shooting for an A cup, I'm a C cup currently).  5. I've been writing more and I've even got some ideas for art projects! I also got an Archive of Our Own account where I post my finished writing, and I'm starting a book project at my mom's urging (she said she wanted that as her Christmas present so I'm gonna try, might not get it done this year though). I haven't gotten to write much lately but I'm hoping to change that this month.  And finally, 6. I'm gonna be a college junior and I have a career path to pursue! I'm gonna be an archivist, hopefully working for a museum (not too specific on where, I just like museums).  So yeah, a lot of stuff has happened and it's been pretty good!

Around here, a culturally-appropriate gender-neutral form of address is either "dear" or "hun".  It tends to be mostly women who use those, though I did have a man address me as "dear" in a store today.    It could be startling for a come-ffrom-away to hear themselves being addressed that way, but, locally, it is considered a friendly, not particularly creepy, gender-neutral way to address someone.
