Anyone know anything about Dr. Peter Raphael?

I have a friend (FtM) who just had top surgery done by Dr. Raphael last week and came back very, very happy. Apparently he does a rather wide variety of proceedures for MtFs as well, including breast augmentation, facial reconstructive work, and of course SRS. His price seems a bit lower than a lot of the other doctors I have talked to, by a couple of thousand dollars, and he actually has financing options, which is something I have not seen with others. It helps too that he is actually here in the state I live in and that there is a recovery house in the area that is apparently nice and reasonably priced as well. My friend spent a week at the recovery place and recommended it.

All in all this sounds very good, but I wonder about his results. Has anyone heard anything? I will be doing some research on the internet this weekend, and I have contact information, again via my friend, for one person who is post-op and went to this doctor. From what I have heard through my friend, she is apparently happy with the results. And of course, ultimately, I will speak with someone at his office too, but I thought I would ask here as well.

I have never heard of him before, but a Google search shows he is with American Institute for Plastic Surgery serving the Dallas and Plano Texas areas, I think i would want to see some of his results, what procedure does he use to create the neovagina, what kinjd of depth does he get, i would be interested in knowing the number of srs surgeries he has done and does a year, just because i have not heard of him does not mean he is not a good surgeon, however you only get one shot at this so i would do allot of research and ask lots of questions before selecting him.

Dr. Raphael performed my FFS and breast implants in December 2009 and was amazing. He and staff answered ever question (3 visits to make sure) and treated me wonderfully. His work was far better than I had hoped. I just today called to discuss SRS.

I just called to speak with Dr. Raphael assistant (Catherine) to discuss larger breast implants and possible liposuction and she mentioned they started doing MTF about a year and half ago. Dr. Raphael has been performing FTM for years and now offering both services. I was quoted $16,000 for SRS and having dealt with him 3 years ago there are no suprises.
