Glass Bottle Thrown At Me

Hi everyone.

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this so moderators if you wish to move it to a more appropiate category please do so. I was on my way back to the bus station from my doctor's office today around 4:00pm. Made it to the bus station alright and there was only one other man a few stalls down from where I was sitting on a bus bench that was covered. I did hear some people up above me on the second level laughing a joking around with one another. Was sitting at the bench for about five mintunes when a glass bottle came hurling over my head and landing in front of me breaking into pieces. The bottle was directed right towards. I immediately stood up and walked over quickly to where the man was and asked him if security was around. He said no and he did notice the bottle coming towards me as well, he did not see who threw it though. A bus came in after that and the man offered to ask the driver to call security. He did while he was taking his break. He went into the office building where the bus drivers usually take there breaks. After he came out he stated that he called them and then took off on his route. One bus came after he left and I just boarded my bus, I wanted to get home as soon as possible and not wait around being unsafe there.

I called the LGBT resource center near where I live and talked with a man there that I met before and he suggested I call the bus company tomorrow morning and explain to them in detail what went on. If they are not willing to do anything he will meet me down at the bus station headquarters and speak to them personally. This station that it occured at usually has security there, there was none today.

That's terrible what happened, whether they were aiming it at you or near you or just happened to toss it over without even looking to see if anyone was below. I'm glad you are okay even if a bit shaken by the ordeal.

I also hope this was not a targeted incident and simply some idiot being stupid and as Krisina said, not paying attention where they littered. It just amazes me that there are still people out there with I.Q.'s of onions. And they are procreating on top of it!

I am just glad you are ok and hopefully the bus people will address this promptly.

I would have called the police immediately. The bottle, most likely has finger prints on it regardless of being broken. I am so sorry tha you experienced this. Train stations have video tape security. Perhapss this person is on the tape.

Love.

I agree with Bette. The world keeps procreating more idiots everyday. Mother Nature used to take care of and remove them as unfit, but not anymore. You could have been badly hurt and thats nothing to joke about. We even have more and more agitators on TV spewing hatred and demogogery and completely ignoring the truth. Please be careful. We don't want you hurt.

I called the bus company this morning and talked with Security. He stated that the reason there was no security there anymore is due to budget cuts. All he could do was have a patrol security officer go out there today and investigate. Looks like if this should ever happen again I will either have to call the police or call security and hope they will come at a reasonable time. My other option is to flee the scene. I am doing better today, less shaky. I have noticed myself being more aware of my surrondings and very cautious of people around me, especially on the bus and transit centers where I have to wait to transfer to another bus.

Hugs,

Susan

I am happy to hear you are doing better today. 6.gif Hopefully this was the LAST time this crap happens to you, Susan. But you have some very sound advice that probably ALL of us, natal people included (especially natal women), would do well to consider:

Sorry you had to suffer this attack.. I will never forget a soda being thrown from a car at me as I was biking. What a sticky mess. As well as shock about my fellow "humans". It helps to keep your eyes open and be alert but don't get paranoid. It is too often our manner which brings on difficulties but wakes do exist. Best to you, Charlie

Sorry that happened, are you sure they were throwing it at you. The way you described what happened it sounds like they might of just droped it without intending to hit you with it. I mean you said you heard them joking around and laughing, but you didn't say they were saying anything directed towards you. I would just let it go and if it happens again be more aware of what they're talking about. I'm not trying to make light of the situation; just that it's more than possible by the way that you describe what happened that no harm was intended.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.

While the Soviet Union did not end up being the source of all evil, I believe that history has shown that Joe McCarthy generally was right. There ARE all kinds of Marxists slithering around. And if that had been dealt with firmly 75 years ago (or more) the nation wouldn't be in the shape that it's in now.    And while I generally oppose the idea of intervening in foreign affairs, the world probably would have been better off if we had taken care of issues in Russia and defeated the Bolshevik Menace back in 1919. God bless the memory of Admiral Kolchak.   Getting back to project 2025, my belief is that Republican efforts are inappropriately focused on trans folks. A minority of a minority does not wreck a nation. But it is easier to focus on trans folks because they can look like they're doing something. They don't have to address the real problems, and really they don't want to address them because they would have to address themselves.  They would also need to admit that the 50 State version of the USA cannot be saved.
