OK girls, how many of you have read it? -Raises hand-

I loved/liked it, but it really confused me. Throughout the book I kept thinking about how a girl felt while reading it. I know how I felt, but I wonder if a natal female felt the same way. I asked a few with the stipulation that they did not need to actually answer. None have.

So I sit here and wonder, how they feel. That feeling deep inside, is it true? Is it real? Maybe after my surgery I will have a better perspective, but for now I sit here wondering if I am missing out on some hidden feeling.

The whole vampire, werewolf, bondage, dominance thing was never my cup of tea. A few girl friends tried to get me started on that with Narcissus in Chains once. I read it and said, no, not for me. This sounds in the same vein so I'll pass.

No vampires, no werewolves...

Girl meets guy. Bondage, yes but not crazy stuff, at least not where I am in the book. It's not the sex I'm interested in, it's the way the girl feels. Her innate desire. I wanna know if that's a real feeling or made up for the book.

I can guarantee you that it's a real feeling. I spent 4.5 years with a girl that loved this stuff and practically begged for it. She was so obsessed with my natural scent and my pheromones and even hated when I took a shower because she couldn't smell my natural oils haha. Not that she wanted me to be dirty, but just not always just showered. She liked me a full day after a shower, maybe slightly longer because I never smell bad and am very clean.

I can't wait to eventually start HRT and have the hormones make me more attracted to men's pheromones -- it's gonna be fun.

      This is not uncommon.  I started out going to the therapist in androgynous clothing: from the women's department, but plausibly masculine.  What made it easier was when I started going to a trans peer support group.  Most of the people there were presenting fully feminine, so I looked out of place in my androgynous clothing.  The peer pressure made it easier to dress in skirts.   I started out changing in a gender-neutral bathroom near the meeting room.  But I soon started wearing skirts in the car to and from the meetings.   Yes, it was nerve-wracking at first, but I soon realized that no one was looking and no one cared.    You can do this.

      In my last session my therapist is starting to suggest that I need to start exploring my gender identity in a more tangible way through wearing feminine clothing at least during sessions.  I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around her seeing me actually en femme.   I love and trust her, but the thought of being visibly feminine is scaring (and thrilling) me.  Is this a common thing in gender therapy?  How do I get past the fear?  More importantly, what should I wear?

      I felt the urge to date and felt just like a teenager again. I have recorded my journal titled Ashley's Life From Start to Present. I was very moody and agitated and happy. I think it was my body's way of being in shock. After about two months it got better. Remember that you aren't the only one transitioning because your wife is too. Consider yourself lucky because I lost mine because of it and so have many others. Just enjoy the ride.

I guess it the Union Shop Stewart coming out in me. I want you to be treated fairly as well as respectably. You're human, you're a client of theirs.
