SUX you are right.

I have been berated on Facebook for being disappointed in Obama REFUSING to sign an executive order protecting LGBT from being discriminated against by Federal contractors. The spin is this, this is an election year. The spin is, it can be done through congress.

I am a big supporter of Obama (please don't start in on a political debate this is just me). BUT I am STILL very disappointed.

(!) Read if carefully it is ONLY LGB not LGBT. Same with DADT repeal.

(2) So if Obama is NOT reelected there will be NO period where this protection was in force, which would perhaps set a useful precedent! So duh!

(3) Last time I looked we had a Republican dominated Congress so Obama saying he will go that way is just not an honest appraisal.

Politicians are politicians. I am so angry that Obama is so wishy washy but I have known that since he came into office. To be honest his hands are often tied, but it's really disappointing anyway.

I am not sure I can vote for ANYONE this election year. I am so unhappy we transpeople are persona non grata ... AGAIN!"

I do not find it wise to refrain from voting; and because I am a social democrat, I just certainly hope that you don't vote for Mitt Romney in the presidential election, but that is your decision to make.

I voted for Ron Paul in the FL republican primary but he has no chance of getting the nomination at this point so I also probably wont vote in the general election. I don't see the problem with refusing to support either candidate... neither one deserves my vote so they aren't going to get it. If Obama would actually keep his word once in awhile he would definitely get my vote over Romney, I can't stand Romney (he's George Bush all over again, and before you say it there is a big difference between a conservative and a neo-con... Romney is a neo-con).

P.S. Yes I know Ron Paul's social stances don't exactly benefit the LGBT community, I only voted for him for his fiscal policies which I think can go a long way to repairing our economy (#1 concern for me considering my $160k in student loans and no job opportunities)... so please don't hate on me for my choice :) My only point in writing this was to defend Liz's choice not to vote, I think it is the right thing to do if she doesn't support any of the candidates... I don't see a problem with that.

My reason for not finding it wise to avoid voting is that, either way, one of them will win, and if it's Romney, I'd like a plane ticket the hell outta here, please. :P So, that is more subjective than it is objective. I'm unsure as to whether it is okay for politics to be discussed here, so I'll simply say: if either Romney or Paul wins—the latter, mind you, being extremely unlikely—I just want out of here. While I don't like Ron Paul's social stances, I dislike his fiscal policies even more strongly; the same goes for Romney. Therefore, with both Romney and Paul eliminated as reasonable choices to me, the default is Obama; but I am unable to vote.

I never said I won't vote. I said I cannot vote for any of the candidates I am sure some scrawny, desperate non-main-party person will make the Louisiana ballot. I will probably vote for him or her. What is so wrong with the Save Your Kitty Litter Movement? I mean at least you know right up front they are gonna screw up everything because they tell you - not urinate in a cup and tell you it is lemonade, like the current candidates want to do

In the last few years, the very idea of telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth is dredged up only as a final resort when the alternative options of deception, threat and bribery have all been exhausted.

Don't worry - I will throw away my vote just like everyone else.

Well, I guess I incorrectly interpreted your post, then. :P

I'm hoping for a major social democratic party to spawn, but sadly I think such a thing is only a dream, for at least a few decades. :c

I asked AI to create an image of myself 30 years younger based off my avatar on another site and this was the result:     Wow! I am amazed how close it got my 30 year old face!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Isaac Asimov, Albert Einstein and Robert Kennedy, in that order.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!

It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

Congratulations Sam,   The common saying her once someone starts HRT is: “Enjoy the ride.”   Best wishes, stay positive and motivated    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.
