Tight lacing?

Has anyone here tried tight lacing to get a more feminine look to your body? I've been seeing a couple things on it and I'm very curious to try it! I love the hourglass shape it gives you!

Read up on it and use common sense.

I use a bodice that laces in my Renaissance Faire outfit. My 40 waist down to a 34. But it takes about 30 minutes to slowly get there. Plus the corset bodice is lambskin so it conforms to my body. I have been doing this for several years - and staying in costume for as much as 8 hours at a time, and have had no bad experiences. Now cinching down more than that might cause harm. Essentially you are rearranging your internal organs and not so much moving fatty deposits around. It's harder to eat but the breathing is not a big problem.

So be careful. You may want to start with something not too expensive. My bodice piece cost me $160.

Back to the subject. the following site is a good start. I don't agree that the tight lacing gives a permanent body shape change. Also - I would never try more than a 6" reduction if you are full figured (less if you are smaller). Read this carefully - and understand this is just a source, not a recommendation on beginning tight lacing.

I apologize - I posted those photographs to show that tight lacing used . It was a 6" reduction in circumference. It was reasonably comfortable but I was glad at the end of the day to take it off.

And I agree - thank you for the compliments but it would be best to stay with the thread!

The owner of Romantasy.Com* in Northern CA is a frequent presenter at Transgender Conferences (Southern Comfort, Be All and others) whom I have met. She usually presents on both the tight lacing and gives a couple of sessions on feminine manners for TG's.

I have tried a couple of corsets on, but I have a spinal lordosis and the things dont fit me right.

*I'd get into trouble with the T&C if I posted that as a direct link because it shows the corsets as underwear.

From what I've read, it's something you have to seriously commit to. The girls I've seen who do tight lacing have altered their diet and pretty much wear some kind of corset or belt 12 hours a day. It's not something you just start doing but it's something you work up to doing.

I understand and its something I'm willing to be committed to, I want a feminine look to my body, not all boxy and stuff.
