Far Right Conservatism as well as Far Left Liberalism is losing America. They are missing the point that the vast majority of Americans live in the middle and are quite happy to do so. We used to work together to solve our problems, but now we're ready to man the cannons and slaughter those with a slightly different view. How did we arrive here? Because the here and now is so disfunctional. We need to stop, take a breath, and look for some thing in every story, every new law, every group of people that we can like and support. President Obama is not all right or all wrong. Some of the things he has done don't float my boat, but some things he has done has needed to be done and has shown some pretty incredible courage. What has hurt him is he came to the presidency with very little real givernment experience. He is learning and probably now has the experience he needed at day one.

Congress, now that is a different story. Congress needs a big dose of common sense if this country is to survive. The stupid wateful spending, bills that are so humongus that are jammed down members throats without time for them to read and understand them needs to change. We need a law mandating congress publish a law 72 hours online in it's entirety before a vote, or the law cannot be enacted into law. This gives the public time to read the law and submit imput into the political system. Politicians promised this and then promptly reneged on this promise.

I was not sorry to see Nancy Pelosi go as Speaker. I've never seen such disingenuous politician in all my life. This lady cost the taxpaying public a small fortune and she was more than happy to waste fistfuls of money like there was no tomorrow. I lost all respect for her early on and my lack of respect hasn't improved any with time. So both ends of the political spectrums have lost me. I don't care for radicalism. I prefer sensible dialog, respect, and working across the table to build a consensus. Win Win is my motto My 2 cents worth of observation. Kathryn

I think the G.M. Entity has as much right to an opinion as the Christianity entity. Commerce is the top religion in North America anyway.

To think it was only a few short months ago that many in the LGBT community were boycotting GM over pulling ads from Pretty Little Liars.
