There is a lot I could say, but I'm a man of few words so I'll keep it short.

There's a big difference in my mind between the women in the porn industry and the women I'll have a relationship with. The former is just eye candy. That's it. Althought they are great to look at, I'd never want any kind of relationship with them. The latter I want to be a real woman: imperfections and all. That to me is a perfect woman: someone who is real. Why the beautiful woman I'm smitten with cannot understand that I see her as perfect and still see her imperfections I don't understand. But that's not the point here.

Now, here's the best reason I've heard yet why guys look/view porn (from Rodney Carrington, no less): it's like eating green M&Ms. If all you could eat was green M&Ms, sooner or later you're gonna get real tired of them. Once in a while it would be fun to eat red M&M's. So to kind of reword it, there is no competition between the porn stars and the significant other in one's life. Once in a while, it's fun to see a little variety.

Some other comedian (Ron White, I think) said that when a man sees a woman's upper attributes (you know what I'm talking about), he wants to see other women's upper attributes.

It just goes with the territory. Now I didn't believe Ron White when I first heard that, but now that I've been on T for awhile, it's the truth. I also don't know if I would have totally believe Rodney Carrington either until after T. But when I heard that last week, I could really relate.

I don't but I'm not really against it. I just don't really have a need for "assistance", especially since it would probably just make the situation worse anyway.

Plus like I was saying people (i.e. women) who actually have interesting personalities and are internally as well as externally beautiful are way more attractive than porn stars who are simply...well actually I don't find them even externally beautiful because, I guess this is just personal taste, but there's something about the "easy" ones that makes them unappealing.

I keep trying that whole thing where you start out with a "daydream" and kinda take control over what your dreams are about, but so far that hasn't worked for me.

You need to be seriously relaxed before you attempt it. Spend some time making your mind blank first, focus on that almost like you're going to meditate (yes while lying down) or go into a trance on it then ease into the preset image (almost at the last second you still can) and let sleep start. That might help.

I just wanted to say this about porn. I like porn always have and I watch it because hey I like it. When I first started dating my wife I was in her house one morning, (she had left for work) and I was looking through her dvds to find a movie to watch and came upon her porn collection. I thought cool. Later that night I asked her about it and she said yeah she liked watching porn so we watch porn together, we even go shopping for it together. I think that it's a good thing because I don't have to hide that part of me for fear that she'll think i'm disgusting and two we can both enjoy some visural stuff. It dosn't affect the way I feel about her or my attraction towards her, to me she's the most beutiful girl ever, and it shows me how secure she is in her sexuality and that's a big turn on for me.

I agree with bronx. You are going to want to end up with a partner that enjoys the same things. We watch a decent amount of porn together, and usually afterwards end up talking about how great/horrible the story was. The film industry has really begun to fall story-wise, but for a porn to be produced, it HAS to be different. Therefore you find a lot of interesting stories there, capped of with a lot of hilarious sex scenes.

I know tons of women that watch porn for the same reasons as men do.
