Has anyone tried nono hair removal?

So there is this too good to be true product called no no hair removal ( http://www.my-no-no.com/ ) and it claims, through its technology, to limit hair growth after regular use spanning 6 weeks. It is extremely cheap compared to other similarly permanent solutions. But I was wondering if anyone here had any personal experience with this device? It seems like there are a lot of negative reviews, some of which stem from incorrect use, and many which claim this product is not effective as advertised, or not effective at all.

Hi Jenny,

I've no experience with this item. But, I would pay attention to a conventional wisdom: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

Perhaps others will know more... Good luck!

Love, Megan

Jenny,

I have a No!No! and it has worked well for me. While it has not eliminated all the hair, the amount of hair has been significantly reduced.

There are previous postings about this product. For anyone wondering about using it on the face, it won't get rid of beard shadow hair. It is made more for finer feminine body hair not thick male hair. Also a note about the product. Just because it is FDA approved doesn't mean it will work as claimed. It just means it won't likey harm you. It's not permanent.

You get what you pay for.

The FDA only certifies electrolysis as permanent hair removal. Professional laser treatment gets FDA certified as permanent hair reduction.

I have considered getting this product, but I would be more comfortable if I saw it for sale at regular stores.

I am in a wait and see mode right now. In the mean time, good old fashioned shaving works just fine for me :)

I to have bought and used a NoNo and it works so-so. It thinned out my leg hair, but then I started HRT and it did a much better job than NoNo. What NoNo does do is slow down the growth of body hair which is what my experience with the product was and the hair returned back thinner. Katheryn

The No No device only has 2 and a half stars on Amazon. There was one listing for it a few months back that almost 300 reviews, most of which were negative. That product has since had it's listing removed and they're trying again. 2 of their current products have 70 or so reviews each and still only has 2 and a half stars, while another has 30 something and only 2 and a half stars. It doesn't seem to be the greatest of products for multiple reasons.

I would always do as much research as you can. Check prices on various sites and try to find real customer reviews on websites like Amazon. I would never invest in a product with less than a 3 star rating. Especially not at that price. Sometimes you can order the No!No! cheaper from the manufacturer if you're set on trying it. There's always a chance it will work.

Personally I hav an Emjoi epilator. I don't remember exactly the model but it was around $70 or so. It hurt the first time I used it on my legs and arms but after that all the hair thinned out, came back thinner and seemed to grow slower after my first couple uses with it. I do a regular maintenance once every week or two and I'm good to go. If I'm going out I can usually get my whole body in an hour or less if I feel I need to. It's a lot faster than waxing but about equally as painful the first treatment when the hair may be thick and overgrown. With the results I have now I'd say it was worth it. It's loud though and only operates on AC power.

And as someone else here said... if it seems too good to be true it probably is. That's a hard lesson I've learned over the last 6 years.

Good luck.

~Jade.

These "As seen on TV" devices rarely work as well as what the TV spiel claims. Buyer beware.

I bought a Tria laser and so far have had good results from it. I didnt think it was working, I did my first sesson and really didnt see much of a change, I did my second of the same area and about a week later I saw a bunch of little black hairs on my towel after a shower. I had a ton of shedding. I'm going to do my third this weekend.
