How did you start cross dressing

Hi Girls, I started very young wearing my mothers silk panties also having five female cousins that loved to dress me in their frilly

underwear. It started out as a sexual arousal for me. For many years I only dressed in panties, bras and breast forms, nightgowns, slips,

pantyhose, stockings and garters. Ninety percent of the time I dress this way in bed with my wife. Now that Im older I like the total

package shoes, jeans a nice top or skirt or a dress. I also shave to be a total femme. I dress everyday in something that makes me feel

like a woman. Panties always.

Love Kim

Actually I used to play dress up with my sister until I was about 5 and then I was told to stop - I started again wearing stockings (pre-pantyhose), finding a seamless pair was so exciting, I could wear them without anyone knowing.

That was around 1958 and I have been doing it off and on ever since until 2008 when it was no longer off - ever again.

Love ya,

Sally

My earliest memory was in the mid 60's. I started by wearing my moms heels. I tried wearing her stockings once, but my toenail caused them to run as I was pulling them on so I stayed away from them from then on, but I did start trying to watch as mom put them on so I could see how she did it without causing them to run. I also used to fold the laundry, so I asked her how she knew which side was the front if the label was on the side. I also came in one day while she was putting on her bra (her back was to me) so I learned how to put those on as well.

I didn't have any sisters and about the time I started trying to wear moms dresses, I outgrew them and her shoes. So my dressing was put on hold until I was about 17. I worked at a Ben Franklin and found that they threw out of date/discontinued items in the dumpster. So many early mornings found me going through the dumpster looking for the items I carefully wrapped in outer bags to protect them. It was also a great source of books and other items.

In 74, I joined the Air Force and my dressing was hit and miss for 20 years. After I retired, it was about 3 years before I fully opened up to my wife and began wearing panties full time. She tried to understand, but after her heart attack in 2005, she finally asked me to move out. It had been coming for some time, so it wasn't a shock. We're still married and still friendly, but there's no physical relationship.

Now days, I just dress casually when I get off work. I've come out to my daughter recently and she said that she still loved me, but didn't want to ever see me dressed. She's also stopped coming by. The few times we have been together, she's kept her distance, so cherish the relationship you have with your wife, she's one in a million.

Hi Kimberly. When I was a lot younger and working as a social worker our office was a large old house and in the attic we storred clothes people gave us to give to poor families. Well one day i was up there searching and tossing asside articles I did not want I came across a silky waist slip. For unknown reason I pondered with it then discarded it and carried on. A couple of weeks later I went back for some more clothes and remember I searched out the slip which excited me and took it home and tried it on. It just slowly grew from theat. At the time I felt really guilty. But now I think back I can remember when I was first married I used to love going with my wife shoping and looking with her through all the racks of clothes and urging her to get the things I liked. So it must have been latent all the time. Daniel.

When I was 11 I happened to see this picture in a magazine of this women in this one piece bathing suit and I found myself unable to look away from it and I wasn't really sure why. That summer my mom started to let me stay home alone and some how I ended up looking through her drawers and I came across this one piece bathing suit that looked similar to the one in the picture and I just had to try it on.

From then I started trying on all kinds of things in her drawers but I loved that bathing suit. I started wearing it under my clothes when my mom was home and when school started I would wait for my mom to take a shower after we got him and put it on under my clothes then. Sadly the bathing suit along with the other clothes I had hidden away were stolen a few years ago, not on purpose they just happen to be in this suitcase lock box that was taken. I haven't really done much since then but I am looking to start back up.

I remember it pretty vividly....

I was seventeen and was at a queer coffee group get-together thing when one of the ladies there, an fantastic trans woman, mentioned that she was a drag king and that they had a show coming up. I was curious, so I went.

And it freaking blew my mind.

For the first time ever, watching the stage as these incredible people went and out and performed drag, I finally felt that I could at least start to identify the part of me that I didn't understand. Or at least, start to look at it in the eye.

After that, I started performing, and dressing specifically with the reason to pass as a man. Everything was a terrifying rush of adrenaline. From having the weight of my packer between my legs, to staring at myself in the mirror with a beard to actually going out on stage and having people see me present myself in a totally different way.

The highs were incredible, the low moments nearly crushed my soul the first couple months that I started dragging. Some nights, the clothes aren't clothes. They're tools that help me transform from being a baby butch lesbian to a suave and sexy man. The beard make up isn't make up, it's so much more, and the packer isn't made from silicone, it's an extension of my body, alive and electric.

And then there are nights where the clothes are just clothes, the make up is nothing more than make up, and the packer sits like a dead weight between my legs, making me unbelievably dysphoric with my body. Those are the days when I look into a mirror and all I see is a girl playing dress up and pretending she's a boy.

It sucks somedays.

About age 8. My sister was age 5 and had gotten a bunch of old clothes from my aunt for playing 'dressup.' I had to try them on. I felt I was a girl anyway, and it was so unfair!

As I've posted elsewhere, about age 5, I asked my mother to make me a dress and she did out of heavy paper, taped, and pinned I guess. Went on from there, although I didn't start sneaking real clothes until I was about 14 or 15. Lots of imaginative thoughts until then - and lots more after.

When I was like 7 or 8 I went into my mother's room when nobody else was home and tried on one of her dresses :) from there I tried lipstick and a brown towel for "hair"

I've always wanted to dress as a girl. I think I was 11 years old, that day when I was home alone and grabbed the chance to wear one of my mom's skirts. It felt just like it should...

Hi Kim and thanks for your posts,

My cross dressing adventures started at around age 7. I used to "borrow" my sister's clothes when I had the place to myself. I started with just the dresses, and 60's style girl pants. I remember their pants were always far more colorful and interesting then mine back then. In my early teen age years I started building up stashes of my Mom's and sister's clothes in my basement room. I began to take an interest in their underwear and things at around age 13. I used to under dress back then and go hiking. When I was "away from it all" would shed the male outer clothes and go hiking in girl mode. I still enjoy doing that today.

Hi everyone I am Sandi. This is my first time on this site so this is a good thread to start.

My first memory of crossdressing was when I was five years old.I used to stay with my Grandmother at weekends and she wore black tights to do dance practice.I was fascinated and asked her if I could try them on.She agreed but they were too large.I liked wearing them, though, and asked her if she would get me some of my own.

The next time I visited she gave me a pair of oatmeal colour ribbed tights which I used to wear when I visited.

Ah the beginning...a friend (boy) and I were probably about 7 or so. We raided my mom's closet and pretended to be two of our favorite female TV characters. It was so much fun and felt just right. There was no shame or sense that we were doing anything out of the ordinary...until my mom called to us upstairs. Suddenly we got the sense what we were doing was not exactly what we were supposed to be doing. I don't remember if it was because were en femme or because we should not have been "borrowing" clothes! Of course the shame, the self-contempt, the fear of exposure, etc. would all come in due time, and only after 50 years or so is my life filled with self-acceptance and pleasure.

I guess I can say I am fortunate to have such an understanding partner, as my crossdressing started off more as a fetish to begin with, one that both my wife and I share. Being involved in online roleplay communities like the furry community, I indulged in being able to play female online, more out of curiousity than anything, and when I met her online, I could have sworn she was a guy. We met, chatted, started dating, eventually living together and marrying last year. She still loves playing male sometimes, as well as seeing me play female, but it's become more than just a fetish - it's more a characyeristic.

(Stupid keyboard - hit post by accident on my phone. Sorry for doublepost)

It's more a characteristic now. I'm the more female one, and she's very blokish.

I have yet to mention my growing fascination with actually being trans though. Still unsure how it would go.

My first real memory was when I was probably 5 or so, wearing my sisters gymnastics leotard. Occasionally as I was growing up I would swipe a pair of panties or some pantyhose from my sisters or mom and wear them under my clothes. When I hit about 12, I had amassed quite a collection of stuff, and had a few dresses hiding in the back of my closet. Since I had 2 sisters there were always old clothes around I could get into :). Once I got older and got a job I was able to go shopping for myself, pure heaven!

I just totally opened up to my wife in the past month after 15 years. That is a different story, I will post it later!

I started dressing at age 11 when I discovered my mom's bra and panties. Soon I found her silk negligee and nylon hose. I was in ecstasy. Before this, I had tried on one of my younger sister's dresses but it was too small. I loved dressing as a woman from that time on.

I first started when I about 11 years old. I stayed home from school one day sick. After evryone had left, I got bored and started snooping aruond in my mom's dresser. Seeing her bra, panties and slips made me curious so I tried them on. Once I felt the silky smoothness of the panties and the feel of the bra and slip, I knew I was hooked. I knew I would try to wear mom's panties, bra and slips at every chance I got. As I got older, I started adding pantyhose,(which I absolutely love) and some of her dresses. Rhonda

I tried on my mom's slip and panties when I was about 11. From then on it was bra, panties, hose, garter belt, slip and dress along with makeup. By the time that I was 12, I had dressed as totally as a girl as I was able. I've been dressing totally ever since.

Sorry this first part is a repeat of a post I did already but I need to say the first part to get started. Before I ever started school, my mother made me to wear a little dress and panties and girl's shoes. And threaten me that my daddy would get home from work and see me dressed that way.

Now my first crossdressing was about 8 or 9 when I looked into a drawer of the dresser and found then put on my cousin's dress and panties.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?
