How long does therapy usually last? Do you go for a couple weeks, or months? I'm just trying to prepare myself. Thanks, Cecil

I was in therapy for... uh... 2 and a half years. I was in for a year before T, but the time was because of school situation, not because of issuesing of her not giving me my letter. and I was in for another year after that before top surgery. I started with her May 2009 and ended December 22, 2011.

i miss my shrink, she was my friend. but I see her at TYFA christmas parties, so it's all good lol

Therapy lasts as long as it's needed and you want it, I personally plan to still see a therapist for a few years after the physical part of transitioning is said and done.

Thanks. I hope I get a good therapist, I'm a little nervous about it. It's the fact that basically my future is in their hands, which kind of scares me..
