So I have brown skin due to being mexican and all and have black hair and when I shave the little I have its still visible from under the skin. Anyway to get it out? My grandma seems to not want laser work on me due to "scars". Not sure what to do

Yag lasers are deemed acceptable to try on darker shades of skin. It's going to be much more sensitive to the technique used once you are outside the ideal combo(black hair/light skin.)

It happens that the laser treatment place I visit uses a yag unit, I think those Yag units are fairly typical for lasers made in the last few years.

E3000 promises results on any skin including people the get bad ingrown problems. Electrolysis get be damaging too, everything in life has risks.

I received one area of burns from my initial laser treatment, I think the tech accidentally double treated the same spot. There is no visible damage at the five and a half week mark, short term was discolored, I hope nothing emerges long term.

If you really need the hair permanently removed, electrolysis is the only sure way. Someday they may find a way to tune a laser to work well with dark skin but for now you'll have to go with the old fashioned way.

Lasers recognize the dark pigment under the skin. The darker the skin and the lighter the hair can make laser treatment less effective. My laser treatment center uses http://www.affordmylaser.com/our_laser

They use the GentleLase Plus on me. But notice the Yag machine is better for darker skin.
