My first pencil skirt

I got s black lined primarily poly pencil skirt from the land of Targét. It is absolutely fantastic at 12$ off "that" rack.

Some notes: The price is a steal for a structured anything piece. This thing shows off what shape I do have! Tucking or shape-wear is required for discretion, too bad. Walking in a pencil skirt is easier than I expected, the back slit is functional, I didn't know that, sports however are still out. While it shows fantastic shape, I got a black one, wrong color for fixing a top heavy body. I will be searching in the future for some other colors, since I know I can make this style work.

This is my first size 12 snug skirt, I fill it very well. I am going to lose another 3-5 Inches in my waist over the next 40 pounds. That puts me in size 10 bottoms, I'm worried about hips? on snug fits in the future? That's definitely a female worry on clothes!

hmmm. well, I am just confused what a pencil skirt is, exactly? it sounds..uncomfortable, and the imagery is odd.

That skirt sounds just lovely, Melissa. Every time I see a woman walking in a black pencil skirt, I stop to watch and admire. I actually have one, with a button front, but I haven't been able to wear it as I need to lose another 8-10 pounds. Someday soon, though. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

I love skirts and have loads of them. Pencil skirts are fabulous and make me feel so feminine when teamed up with some nice 3 to 4" heels. I work in an office so I get to wear nice skirt suits all the time and it feels great. The only problem I've had with being a woman is not having a large enough wardrobe!

I'm thinking that pencil skirts are the way to go for me too. I've got very muscular legs that curve up nice in heels. I think if I accent that and hide my waist I can pull it off better. I'll try and get a good shot of me in my brown skirt and heels so you can see what I mean.

I love my pencil skirts a lot, but I hate not having any hips or butt. I find they make me look like stick. A-line skirts give me that fuller hip look.

I did get a really nice pencil skirt recently that has amazing cling and is drapey. It is just too perfect. Now just need some hip to boost my confidence and the wow factor will become the "va va voom" factor.

Meagan, if you're looking for some hips do what I did and make them. After all, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

I took some open cell foam, the kind you make pillows out of, and cut out a rear end and hip for each side. Then I cut out a couple smaller peices to sculpt a rounded shape. I wrapped them with a kind of medical tape I get for free with my dialysis stuff and I wear them under a panty girdle, the kind that look like a pair of shorts. It holds in place well and looks mostly natural once I get pantyhose on and have a skirt over it. The move right and fill out those tight skirts nicely.

Now if I could just make a set of boobs that dont' smell funny. Gelatin rots and silicon keeps outgassing that evaporant... Maybe latex will work... Grr... I wish my wife would let me spend money.

Ya, i got some hip padding. I rarely wear it cause it is not real. Same with my forms. not real and hardly worn anymore. It may fool other people, but it is not fooling me and i just feel fake. I am more comfortable with clothing choices that i can just wear simply without any fuss that hold an illusion of making my figure look correct. examples, darker tops to create a leaner thin look. no cap sleeves or designs that add width. Low rise jeans in lighter washes in a distressed style also add to hip width, back pockets set towards the outer butt also widen the appearance.

Loving the peplum trend right now too. it both gives the impression of a thinner waist and flares at the hip to add width. (light bulb over my head) Bingo, what a super idea, Peplum top and a pencil skirt. Double bingo, Peplum blazer, blouse or tank/cami and pencil skirt. /fightshoppingurge

I just got my first pencil skirt on Fri. at a trans botique in Toronto. It was a little more than $12.00 but I love wearing it. Its black, not to tight, I also got a red top and some black stockings. I wore them out fri night and got a few following looks and a honk, must be the hair and the legs. The skirt feels so good when you walk you know it is there and it moves with you. I don't have hips or a butt either Meagan but I got a waist clincher and it gives me a little. Still trying to get some good pics and I will post them.

To all: just remember when sitting or getting out of a car in a pencil or short skirt, to keep those knees together in a ladylike fashion. Don't want to be putting on a show for the guys hanging around.
