Electrolysis - Costs / face

I don't know about there but here I pay $60 USD an hour for electrolysis. It is a very slow process and depending on how thick your facial hair is, will take a long time.

It may take 200 hours or more to clear my face, and at $70/hr that's 14K, ouch.

Hugs

I'm in the same boat. My hair is sooooooo blond, laser won't work. I pay $60,.00 and hour and will probably need like Cindy, a bazillion hours, oh joy. I was speaking to my Gender Therapist about electrolysis, about the cost and the pain involved. She asked me if I've ever been hypnotised. Well, it helped me to quit smoking 25 years ago. She is putting together a hypnosis recording that I can put on my iPhone that I can play with a trigger that my electrolysis can use.

It will supposedly numb my face, I'm looking forward to giving it a try. Sorry, but I had to promise not to share it or make copies. I'm her patient and if I were hurt, her insurance would cover her. So I promised not to share it, sorry. I gave her my word and I keep my promises. If it works, I'll report on it. She may want to sell licensed copies. If it works well and their is interest, I'll pass it onto her.

The best rate I've found in my city is $69 per hour and I fully expect to need over 100 hours just to where I can be me full time with no beard shadow. I expect another 50+ hours after that for finishing off the remaining stray hairs. That's over $10K expected costs just for electrolysis.

10 K is alot of money. Has anyone tried the home electrolisis unit You can buy for 2-3 hundred dollars? i'd like to know more about those.

If you're talking about real electrolysis and not some machine that makes promises that can't be kept, you're going to have to deal with inserting that needle in each hair follicle yourself. It's rough enough for me laying there as opposed to trying to stick myself repeatedly with a tiny needle and electrify the hair root. Good luck though if you try that! You're braver than me.

If those cheap home units worked, the electrolysis would have been out of work years ago. They don't work. There have been tons of posts about them over the years. Don't work, waste of money.

Laser FDA certified permanent hair reduction

Electrolysis (not the home stuff) the only thing FDA certifified for permanent hair removal. The expensive equipment with a qualified professional.

If the at home ones worked everyone would be doing it. It doesn't work.
