A little step on the road

Hi girls,

I've been a bit quiet of late as I lost the urge for a while . But, I'm taking that as just another 'normal' and not fretting about it.

I had a little, quiet success today. As a family plus guests we all went for a meal out and not only was I underdressed as normal (now-adays) but I wore my new knee high ruched leather Viva la Diva (best boot selection in the UK - my opinion) boots under my jeans. Fortunately the style shows as plain black 'shoes' under jeans. But I was so pleased to be able to extend under-dressing to some fabulous boots!

OK, it is a bit sad, I know, but I felt so good extending my adventure a little bit further I was itching to squeak about it! And, as they were a boot purchase off E-bay, I was glad to find they are immensely comfortable and look gorgeous in 'the flesh'!

I couldn't get away with that. My boots all have a bit too much heel for underdressing. Maybe on Sunday when everyone is gone I can take some shots of my shoe collection. I may give you a run for your money Imelda!

Oh Megan dear, who cares about practical when they look so amazing! I just can't bring myself to spend money on flats. A low wedge is the best I can do. After 30 years of nervously wanting from afar I refuse to step out in anything under 2 inches of heel!

Give me stillettos or give me... wedges... or maybe a nice pump in a three inch heel... Death? Never! I could never decide which shoes to be burried in.

I do have some absolutely wicked heels - two pairs of thigh boots that I can hardly walk in! But my regular favourites are actually a pair of Viva La Diva pattern stitched boots with a 2.5 to 3 inch heel. I have also some all-time favourite ankle boots with similar heel size and - oh heck, loads of other boots and shoes. And I do love walking in heels! I am now very confident on moderate heeled boots and shoes. But these latest ones (as mentioned above) have flat soles and look just like black men's shoes under my jeans! So I can walk out with long boots under-dressed. Just one small activity that makes me feel so good.

They are actually faux leather. To be honest I doubt the sole / shoe bond will last forever as they are just glued. However, with the low amount of use I'll be making of them, I'll get good value for money. I paid half the price for these on E-bay, sold as new.

Look to my gallery tommorow. Once I have the house to myself and am happily wrapped in my new charcoal gray pinstripe a line skirt, white halter top and methinks black slingback heels I will take pics of all my shoes and set up a gallery of them with commentary! I may even divulge my sources for these jems!

Oh, I get goosebumps just thinking about all my lovely shoes!
