Many truckers of any gender just arent much to look at.

That would explain most of the attention some of us ladies get out here on the road. Between the fellas saying hello to us, to the security guard who told me I was the best thing he's seen all day. I'm actually a member of a professional organization, Women in Trucking. The founder although not a driver herself, has worked tirelessly to fight for our rights and respect in this industry. One of the members had a picture she posted that said "Pretty girls drive big trucks, too!"

I think most times when people see me, unless they see me driving the truck or getting in/out of it, they probably think I'm the wife of a trucker.

Geez Lizzie, I think we just got slapped with a "Howdy Hand"! LOL. Ooppps, I just post dated me again. That stick-on truckstop suction cup windshield gimmick must be twenty-five years ago when drivers used to wave a hello at each other passing on the road. Giggle. I think Melissa just popped my bubble of the aloure of returning to the road. Oh, well I guess I'll stay at home and struggle along with the kids. Please allow me to hand over my old beat up tire billet bat cerimoniously as a changing of the gaurd, Smile.

The days of three drivers licenses, two log books, screaming fast trucks with multiple transmissions with two gear shift levers are gone forever anyway! I'm sure glad I got to be there back then. Truck stops were a wild party place and racing forty tons through the night was exiting. I still love to look at the beautiful iron and I miss my old Frieghtliner. I was just a kid then. Today I just sigh and say' "it's a great place to visit. but I'm glad I don't live there anymore..." Tip your hat to the interstate for me, Lizzie and keep bringing us back the great stories. Hug. Jody

PS--- How bout posting a pic of you in smiling from the cab of your favorite war horse? It's a gearhead thing! My favorite inside trucker joke was when I drove a fuel tanker; another tanker yanker would pass by and call out on the radio, "Hey Buddy! Got a light?" The reply was, "Sure, use my six thousand gallon Zippo!" Let me park this post. Chsssh. JT

My dad keeps telling me if I want to switch careers, which I may need to do soonish, OTR driver is a good choice. He says there are more routes than truckers to drive them. Now since he is a farmer he has a lefthanded connection to the industry so I think he may be right. What is your opinion Liz?

If that was the case I'd have an easier time finding parking during the week....

Ok! Done especially for this thread, I took a pic today with the sunglasses and with the regular glasses. I had to do a little color balancing, I guess the overcast sky added some green to the pic so I tried to take that out, but anyway, here ya go. Oh and I figured why not wear my hair down today, and of course if I'm wearing my hair down that means hoop earrings! (which you really can't see in the pic but they're there. I also love love love this lipstick. Fabulous color and great shine.

Yep people watching and real dating are real big reasons to not get back on the road. It's like plan-D before I seek a homeless shelter personally in my job plans. For better or worse I dropped my various endorsements and would need hazmat and tanker endorsements back.

Oh Lizzie, my gosh I just realized, I hadn't given -you- feedback this is your thread. Your Beautiful! Super lipstick btw, in every picture. My hair lady would attack your brows, I have to thwart her anytime I go there. She's not clear that the job situation isn't a done deal for me yet.
