there are a few questions I've been asking myself lately

1. What am I. MTF of just a crossdresser

2. Do I want to transition

3. What would be the consequences if I transitioned now

4. What would my life be like if I were born a girl

Ok, Anna,

Here comes the schoolteacher in me: Question 2 answers question one!

Questions three and four call for facts that are not evedent!

We can't know the future so I can't tell you the consequences of transitioning now or at some later time - I can tell you the consequences of not having transitioned yet - you are still asking yourself these questions.

We can make a few statements that can be considered correct - if you were born a girl you would not be trying to become a girl - you might be trying to become a man - there is no garauntee that you would not have been born transgendered as a female! You wouldn't have facial hair or male genitalia, you would have developed breasts (no idea as to size - not enough information) and you would, of course, have as mothers tell their daughters a monthly cycle.

The most important question is number 2 - once that is answered you may proceed to number 3!

Number 4 is RIGHT OUT! (Monty Python and the Holy Grail)

I came so close to answering seriously!

I hope that this will help you focus on the one main question, number 2!

Goodness, what thoughts you have on Christmas Eve - but I can see what you are doing. All of us ask similar questions. And the holiday season can be tough 'cause we are supposed to be happy-happy, and we aren't always in that frame of mind.

1. What am I(?) MTF (or) just a crossdresser

First question I asked my therapist. She had me tell her my life story, asked questions, and then gave an opinion. That is about the only way to know.

2. Do I want to transition (?)

Your therapist again - and I sound like I am stuck on that - he/she will first tell you what you probably are, if transitioning is an option, he/she will tell you the good news and bad news on every option you have. Therapist do NOT make recommendations.

3. What would be the consequences if I transitioned now (?)

Depends on your age, education, wealth, marrital status, desires and... blood type... and eye color... and type of food you like... kidding, depends on your situation.

4. What would my life be like if I were born a girl (?)

Hummmmm.... probably just fine - my luck? I'd be a FTM transsexual and miserable!

I just don't know anymore - hey sweet - none of us do!!!! Thats why we are asking questions at Laura's...
